Methods and systems are provided for a deflector. In one example, a system includes a first engine bay component comprising a deflector with a deflection surface shaped to engage a second engine bay component to rotate the first engine bay component and mitigate contact between the first engine bay component and a third engine bay component.

Systems for a deflector wedge

A motor vehicle having a frame-like assembly carrier as a component of a bodywork in the front end region of the motor vehicle which is driven by means of an internal combustion engine. The assembly carrier has an inner side and an outer side and includes a plurality of web-like carriers. In the installation position of the assembly carrier, two lateral carriers spaced apart from each other are connected by an upper carrier with a frame being formed. The upper web-like carrier has at least one air passage defined by the upper carrier which leads from the outer side to the inner side of the assembly carrier. A suction system is arranged on the inner side of the assembly carrier for supplying the internal combustion engine with air. At least one air inlet opening of the suction system adjoins at least one air passage of the upper carrier.

A conduit carrying gaseous matter has a device inside it forming a low-lying sump for separating and collecting non-gaseous matter. The device fits within a flexible section of the conduit and includes a barrier plate oriented generally horizontally to longitudinally divide a length of the conduit into a gas-carrying passageway (above the barrier plate and a sump (below the barrier plate, a spacer extending from a lower surface of the barrier plate, and first and second frame members extending from an upper surface of the barrier plate at spaced-apart locations. The spacer and the frame member contact inner surfaces of the conduit to positively position the barrier plate within the conduit, and the frame members are oriented obliquely to one another to urge the flexible section of the conduit into a bent shape having a lowest portion defining the sump.
