This document describes anti-wobble fir tree mounts for attaching a component to a supporting structure. In aspects, an anti-wobble fir tree mount is configured for reducing the lateral movement of the anti-wobble fir tree mount during use. In some implementations, the device may include a body section having a bottom portion with a mounting section extending therefrom. The mounting section is configured for insertion into a mounting aperture defined in a supporting structure first side. The mounting section having: a mounting stud; first and second branches extending from the mounting stud; the second branch spaced apart from the first branch, the first branch positioned between the body section and the second branch, the second branch may include an upper side facing the body section, the first branch may include: a lower side, the lower side facing the upper side of the second branch; and a flange member extending from the lower side, the flange member configured for contacting the upper side during insertion of the mounting section into the mounting aperture to limit a deflection of the second branch in the direction of the body section.

Anti-wobble fir tree mount

This publication describes techniques and apparatuses for releasably attaching an object (e.g., a wire tray) to a substrate. Current apparatuses generally do not enable the removal of an attached wire tray from a substrate without first removing an insert from a mounting stud extending from the substrate. The disclosed techniques and apparatuses are configured to permit the removal of an attached wire tray from a substrate without first removing an insert from a mounting stud extending from the substrate.

Wire tray and mounting insert assemblies

Techniques and apparatuses directed to improved pawl-latching devices are described in this document. The disclosed techniques and apparatuses provide pawl-latching devices with pawls structured to avoid the sinking and warping problems present in some conventional injection molding processes. In aspects, the pawl-latching devices include a pawl having at least one of a pivot member including a notch, a release feature on the pawl spaced apart from the front and sides of the pawl, a recess defined in the top of the pawl, and/or a recess defined in the bottom of the pawl.

Pawl-latching devices

A stud-mount insert configured to be releasably retained by a mounting-tab of a wire-tray assembly. The stud-mount insert includes a flange and a body configured to rotate about a longitudinal-axis of a mounting-stud. The flange is configured to overlay an aperture defined by the mounting-tab such that the mounting-stud extends through the aperture into the body. The flange is further configured to engage a top-surface of the mounting-tab proximate a perimeter of the aperture.

A wire-tray-assembly includes a wire-tray, a first-insert, and a second-insert. The wire-tray has a first-mounting-tab defining a first-aperture, and a second-mounting-tab defining a second-aperture. The first-insert is releasably retained by the first-mounting-tab and a first-mounting-stud extends through the first-aperture into the first-insert. The first-insert is rotatable about a longitudinal-axis of the first-mounting-stud. The first-insert defines a first-cavity into which are disposed first-pawls configured to releasably engage threads of the first-mounting-stud. The second-insert is releasably retained by the second-mounting-tab and a second-mounting-stud extends through the second-aperture into the second-insert. The second-body defines a second-cavity into which are disposed second-pawls configured to releasably engage threads of the second-mounting-stud. The first-pawls engage the threads of the first-mounting-stud and the second-pawls engage the threads of the second-mounting-stud when an installation-force is applied the first-insert and the second-insert along the longitudinal-axis of the first-mounting-stud and the second-mounting-stud.
