A charger and method for charging multiple electrical devices. The charger includes a platform including a charging section. The platform is configured to receive a plurality of electrical devices and move relative to a center member. The charger further includes a charging coil configured to charge an electrical device of the plurality of electrical devices when the electrical device is positioned within the charging section. The charger is configured to determine a charge level of the electrical device when the electrical device is positioned within the charging section, determines when the charge level of the electrical device exceeds a predetermined charge threshold, and position, when the charge level of the electrical device exceeds the predetermined charge threshold, at least one other electrical device within the charging section and move the electrical device out of the charging section.

Method and apparatus for charging multiple electrical devices

A display () providing a tactile display user interface is provided. A display sub-assembly () with lens () is mounted within an internal frame () having a base (). A perimeter seal () is mounted between the lens () and the internal frame (). Mechanical switches () are disposed between a back surface of the display and the base () of the internal frame (). The display sub-assembly () and lens () is moveable relative to the internal frame () resulting in actuation of a single mechanical switch in response to the display being pressed. Sealing of the lens () to the internal frame () being maintained during switch actuation.

Display assembly and interface for a communication device

A method and apparatus are described for providing simultaneous display views from a display of a portable electronic device at multiple angles. The display includes a first set of light-emitting diodes positioned in a display field and oriented to produce a first visual data depiction viewable at a first perspective angle. The display also includes a second set of light-emitting diodes co-positioned in the display field with the first set of light-emitting diodes, oriented to produce a second visual data depiction viewable at a second perspective angle, and oriented to make the second visual data depiction non-viewable from the first perspective angle. The second perspective angle is different than the first perspective angle and the second visual data depiction is different than the first visual data depiction.

Charging apparatus, system and method

A user interface () for a touchscreen () is provided. The user interface () comprises a physical overlay () having a rotatable guide wheel () with access through-holes () formed therein. The touchscreen () of a portable communication device () can be accessed though the access through-holes () and controlled via the rotatable guide wheel () without having to view the screen. Fingertip insertion into the access through-holes () activates and selects different predetermined functions, while rotation of the rotatable guide wheel () controls variation for each predetermined function. The user interface may () be incorporated as part of a carry case, holster (), harness or formed as an attachable and removable overlay plate () to correspond with the touchscreen ().

A rotary control knob () for a portable radio () utilizes a flexible shaft () as a tether to provide a plurality of flexible positions. The flexible shaft () is coupled to a switch mechanism () located in the radio housing (). The rotary control knob () can be slid up and down the flexible shaft () and the flexible shaft can be bent to provide improved user access to the knob, such as for gloved usage.

A method and apparatus for communicating amongst two-way radios is disclosed. The method includes operating a two-way radioin either a trunked mode or conventional mode over an operating frequency and scanning an auxiliary channel by the two-way radioto enable radio communication on the auxiliary channel while maintaining the operating frequency active. The radiofurther detects a signal on the auxiliary channel with another radioand communicating on the auxiliary channel in an intercom mode to provide an intercom radio-to-radio communication amongst all radiosscanning on the auxiliary channel.
