A method for serving a request for hierarchical data includes receiving, at a processing circuit, a request for hierarchical data stored in one or more databases. The request includes an indication of a particular data hierarchy. The method further includes identifying, by the processing circuit, one or more entity count records corresponding to the particular data hierarchy. The entity count records indicate a distribution of the hierarchical data within the data hierarchy. The method further includes splitting the request for hierarchical data into a plurality of sharded requests based on the distribution of the hierarchical data indicated by the one or more entity count records, assigning the plurality of sharded requests to one or more processing sites for processing at least a subset of the sharded requests in parallel, and reporting a combined result of processing the plurality of sharded requests.

Systems and methods for dynamic sharding of hierarchical data

Systems and methods for request isolation protection at a first server. The first server receives a resource request from a client device. The first server may receive multiple requests from the same client device or other client devices. The first server caches the multiple requests so that only one resource request is made to a second server storing the resource. The first server detects when the client device cancels the request to the resource. In response, the first server cancels the request made to the second server if there are no other requests made to the resource. If there are other requests remaining, then the first server does not cancel the request to the second server.

A group of key terms associated with an ad campaign are identified, each key term including a keyword or a key phrase. The group is automatically classified into two or more sub-groups each having one or more key terms, at least one of the sub-groups having key terms that have a higher similarity level than the key terms in the original group. The two or more sub-groups of key terms are provided to a sponsor of the ad campaign.

Automatic advertising campaign structure suggestion

A group of key terms associated with an ad campaign are identified, each key term including a keyword or a key phrase, the ad campaign being associated with one or more negative key terms. The group is automatically classified into two or more sub-groups each having one or more key terms, at least one of the sub-groups having key terms that have a higher similarity level than the key terms in the original group. Associations between the one or more negative key terms and the two or more sub-groups are determined, and the two or more sub-groups of key terms and associated zero or more negative key terms are provided to a sponsor of the ad campaign.
