A simulated anatomical joint includes a first artificial bone having a first articular surface, a second artificial bone having a second articular surface matable to the first articular surface to simulate a natural joint, and artificial ligaments connecting the first artificial bone to the second artificial bone. The artificial ligaments connect the first artificial bone to the second artificial bone such that the first articular surface is proximate to the second articular surface. The artificial ligaments connected to the first artificial bone and second artificial bone are adjustable to simulate stresses in a natural anatomical joint corresponding to the first artificial bone and second artificial bone.

Enhanced human joint simulation model

The present invention provides an improved device for attaching a watercraft to another structure such as another watercraft or a fixed structure, such as a dock. The apparatus comprises a spacing bar and specialized, quick connecting and releasing attachment devices that allow the watercraft to be quickly and effectively moored to other structures on the water without the risk of collision or damage to the watercraft. The quick-connect devices may be positioned near ends of the spacing bars to effectively hold the watercraft at a predetermined distance from the other structure. The device may further include tensioning mechanisms that are operable to keep the spacing bars at a substantially orthogonal orientation relative to the watercraft to maintain the pre-determined spacing between the watercraft and the other structure.

Mooring device and methods of use

A revision is performed on a bone. A first cutting tool is placed over a rod inserted into the bone such that the rod extends through a cannula of the first cutting tool. The inserted rod is curved within the bone. A hole is formed in the bone with the first cutting tool placed over the curved rod.

A prosthetic knee implant system includes a prosthetic femoral component and a prosthetic tibial component. The femoral component includes a lateral condyle, a medial condyle, a bone-contacting surface that may be formed of porous metal, and an articular surface that may be formed of PAEK/PEEK. The tibial component includes medial and lateral condylar portions, a bone-contacting surface that may be formed of porous metal, and a second surface opposite the bone-contacting surface. Recesses extend a depth into the second surfaces of the medial and lateral condylar portions. Medial and lateral bearing inserts with flat proximal faces are positioned with the recesses of the medial and lateral condylar portions. Flexible medial and lateral meniscal components are positioned to surround the medial and lateral inserts, respectively, and extend proximal to the second surface of the insert.

A surgical referencing guide includes a body having a contact surface and a first foot extending away from the body. The first foot includes a first reference surface having a first area defined by a standard deviation of a first dataset extracted from a database and being comprised of a plurality of first data points each corresponding to an individual bone within a population of bones and each corresponding to a location of a preselected point on the bone within a predetermined coordinate system.

Femoral sizer

An elongated rod for insertion into a bowed canal of a bone such as a femoral medulla of a femur bone, wherein the canal is bowed in one plane. The rod has a longitudinal axis disposed on a first plane and one or more cutouts formed in at least a portion of a length of the rod and on opposite sides of the first plane. The rod is flexible along a second plane which is co-planar with the bowed canal plane and which is disposed on the longitudinal axis and perpendicular to the first plane.

Flexible intramedullary rod

An instrument for setting ligament tension between a distal femur and a proximal tibia has a rod mounted on a femur. The rod has an extension extending along a first axis. A first drive element is mounted on the distal femur and is rotatable about a second axis. A body is rotatably mounted on the rod extension for rotation about the first axis. The body has a second drive element engaging the first drive element and a third drive element extending about a third axis offset from the first and second axes. A ligament tensioning element is mounted on the body and has a foot for engaging a posterior condyle of a femur and has a fourth drive element. A fifth drive element engages both the third and fourth drive elements for moving the ligament balancer with respect to the body along the third axis.

An orthopaedic instrumentation having an intermediate piece that has an opening for receiving an intramedullary reference. The intermediate piece such as a tibial template or a cutting guide is located on the resected tibia or femur in a manner that it optimally covers the resected surface of the tibia or the femur. A bushing guide is provided for mounting on the intermediate piece. The bushing guide has a circular opening. An offset bushing is rotatably mounted in the opening in the bushing guide. A trigger flange is slidably mounted on the offset bushing. The trigger flange can slide back and forth relative to the offset bushing. An indicia is formed on the upper surface of trigger flange. The indicia when aligned with one of the indicia on the offset bushing body measures the offset of center of a bore in the trigger flange from center of the offset bushing. The offset bushing can rotate around its longitudinal axis in the opening in the bushing guide. Indicia on the offset bushing may be used to measure the orientation of the center of the hole in the trigger with respect to the center of bushing body.

Punch apparatus and method for surgery

A tibial alignment guide assembly for positioning a resection guide, the assembly including a main shaft having a proximal end and a distal end. The assembly also includes an anchor arm having an engaging end and a connection end. The connection end is preferably attached to the proximal end of the main shaft and the engaging end preferably has at least one anchor pin extending outwardly therefrom. The at least one anchor pin is adapted to anchor the tibial alignment guide assembly to a tibia plateau in order that the resection guide may be correctly aligned to the tibia. The assembly further includes a lever including an actuation end and a handle. The lever is pivotally connected to the anchor arm, whereby movement of the lever while the actuation end bears against the tibia plateau surface, causes at least a partial extraction of the at least one anchor pin from the tibia plateau.
