An interlayer comprising a first polymer layer, a polarization rotary optical film and optionally a second polymer layer, and multiple layer panels formed from such interlayers. The panels may exhibit desirable optical properties, including, for example, less image 'ghosting,' when used as part of a heads-up-display (HUD) display panel for use in automotive and aircraft applications.

Interlayers comprising optical films having enhanced optical properties

A transparent exterior window film composite comprising a base sheet material having an outer PET (polyethylene terephthalate) film layer which has been surface treated to elevate adhesion thereto and which is impregnated with an ultra violet light absorber (UVA), the treated surface being coated with a UV stabilized acrylic polymer or co-polymer undercoat having a UV stabilized hard coat layer thereon formed from at least one aliphatic urethane acrylate oligomer and at least one multifunctional acrylate monomer, the undercoat layer having a thickness which is at least as thick as the hard coat.

Low emissivity and EMI shielding window films

This invention relates to film composites with a single coating of hard coat material which have a significant improved adhesion together with improved weather resistance while also increasing resistance to abrasion and cracking. In one embodiment, this film composite is comprised of a transparent base sheet having on one side thereof a weather resistant hard coat comprised of: at least one multifunctional acrylate monomer or oligomer; a dual-curable resin comprising an aliphatic urethane acrylate resin having isocyanate functional groups and an aliphatic urethane acrylate having hydroxyl functional groups; an ultraviolet (UV) stabilizer; and a photoinitiator.
