A docking station for a hand-held filament extension atomizer device includes a receiver to receive the device, station electronics, a recharging point for the device arranged to connect with a power source of the device, a power connection to an alternating current power source, and a cleaning reservoir of cleaning solution. A method of operating hand-held dispenser to dispense fluid as a mist includes receiving a signal at a motor contained in a casing in response to a user triggering an actuator on the casing, activating the motor to provide fluid to a filament extension atomizer contained in the case from a reservoir contained in the casing, the motor to cause the filament extension atomizer to generate a mist, and using an air source contained in the casing arranged adjacent the filament extension atomizer to provide air flow to direct the mist to a nozzle that is arranged to allow the mist to exit the casing.

Handheld filament extension atomizer for precision delivery of drugs and therapeutics

An ejector for a printing system is disclosed. The ejector body may include an internal cavity, a nozzle in communication with the internal cavity, one or more segmented solenoid coils wrapped at least partially around the ejector body, and a piston disposed within the internal cavity of the ejector body. A method of ejecting liquid from an ejector is also disclosed, including introducing a material for ejection into an ejector cavity. The method of ejecting liquid from an ejector may include advancing a piston configured for translational motion within an ejector towards an ejector nozzle which may further include de-energizing a first segment of a segmented solenoid wrapped partially around the ejector, energizing a second solenoid segment of a segmented solenoid wrapped partially around the ejector. The method of ejecting liquid from an ejector may also include ejecting a drop of the material for ejection from the ejector nozzle.

In one implementation, a radiative cooling formulation includes a binder which includes a first polymer and a second polymer that are practically water insoluble and are substantially non-absorbing to light having wavelengths in a solar spectrum. The radiative cooling formulation further includes a solar reflector material embedded in the binder.

The disclosure relates to sealant compositions for forming hermetic seals, methods of use, and hermetically sealed products. The sealant compositions comprise a first inorganic oxide chosen from at least one of MgSiO, MgO, MgTiO, CaO, and CaSiO, a second inorganic oxide chosen from SiO, at least one solvent, and optionally at least one organic resin binder.

A hybrid vehicle includes at least one axle, an energy storage device disposed within the hybrid vehicle, a fuel consuming engine, a power boosting feature, and a controller. The fuel consuming engine is operably connected to selectively provide power to at least one of the energy storage device and the at least one axle. The engine is capable of providing at least the mean but less than a peak power to drive the hybrid vehicle over a typical route. The power boosting feature is configured to provide the fuel consuming engine with additional power to achieve a desired power to accelerate the hybrid vehicle. The controller is adapted to selectively control power flow to the one or more axles from one or more of the energy storage device, the engine, and the power boosting feature to achieve the desired power.

A method of manufacturing an extrusion device includes forming an outlet, an inlet for a first material and a feed channel for the first material having a sloped end in a stack of layers, aligning the stack of layers to fluidically connect the feed channel for the first material with the inlet for the first material and to fluidically connect the inlet for the first material with the outlet, and bonding the layers together.

Oblique angle micromachining of fluidic structures

A solar cell extrusion printing system that uses a micro-extrusion printhead to print longer central gridlines and one or more pairs of shorter 'side' gridlines such that end points of the gridline sets form step patterns on an octagonal (pseudo-square) substrate. The printhead includes a set of central nozzles that receive ink from a first valve by way of a first flow channel to print the longer central gridlines, and additional sets of side nozzles that receive ink from additional valves by way of additional flow channels to print the shorter 'side' gridlines. The central nozzles have outlet orifices that offset in the process direction from side outlet orifices of the side nozzles. A start signal is simultaneously sent to the valves such that ink is substantially simultaneously extruded through both the central and side orifices, whereby the extruded ink produces gridline endpoints having the desired step pattern.
