A bone screw for treating a bone fracture having a detent assembly on a body portion thereof. The detent assembly operative to secure the body from movement relative to a bone nail. The detent assembly includes a detent member, for example, an annular member, movable between a first and second position. Positioning the annular member in the second position operates to secure the body of the bone screw from movement relative to the bone nail.

Telescoping bone screw

A bone screw for treating a bone fracture having a detent assembly on a body portion thereof. The detent assembly includes a detent member that is movable between a first and second position. The detent assembly operative to secure the body whereby said plunger portion moves independent of said body. The bone screw may also include a plunger assembly having a plunger with a threaded portion and a plunger portion. The plunger portion is slidably disposed within a chamber of the body.

A suture passing apparatus including an elongated body having opposite ends. A head is located on one end with a retainer assembly located at the other end. A recess extends from the aperture along the elongated body. A loop of a flexible member is placed in the aperture and over a projection extending into the aperture. The flexible member is placed in the recess extending from the aperture along the elongated body.

Suture passing apparatus and method of using same

A bone fixation member used to promote healing of a fracture. The fixation member having an upper surface, a lower surface, and an aperture extending between the upper surface and the lower surface. The aperture including a plurality of upper protrusions and a plurality of lower protrusions. The upper protrusions spaced longitudinally from the lower protrusions wherein the lower protrusions are out of phase with the upper protrusions. In a further example, the upper protrusions are spaced circumferentially in a common plane and the lower protrusions are spaced circumferentially in a common plane. The common plane of the upper protrusions spaced from the common plane of the lower protrusions along a longitudinal axis of the aperture with the aperture lacking protrusions between the plane of upper protrusions and plane of lower protrusions.

Variable angle bone plate

A bone screw for treating a bone fracture having a plunger assembly and a detent assembly on a body portion thereof. The detent assembly includes a detent member that is movable between a first and second position. The plunger assembly includes a threaded engagement portion and a plunger portion. The plunger portion is slidably disposed within a chamber of the body. The detent assembly operative to secure the body whereby said plunger portion moves independent of said body.
