A system for context-based adaptive virtual experience control in a vehicle is provided. The system includes an output device configured for providing a sensory output to a user of the vehicle and a computerized virtual experience control module configured for controlling the output device based upon a virtual experience mode. The system further includes a computerized context-based adaptive control module configured for monitoring contextual data related to one of the user of the vehicle or operation of the vehicle, monitoring feedback from the user related to one of favor or disfavor related to the virtual experience mode, and utilizing the contextual data and the feedback from the user to selectively, automatically command activation of the virtual experience mode.

System and method for virtual experience as a service with context-based adaptive control

Systems and method are provided for predicting a vehicle pose. In one embodiment, a system includes a non-transitory computer readable medium. The non-transitory computer readable medium includes: an asynchronous prediction module configured to, by a processor, receive vehicle data from a vehicle, and compute a prediction of vehicle pose from the vehicle data, wherein the computation is performed asynchronously using a vehicle time frame and a common coordinate system; and a synchronous prediction module configured to, by the processor, compute a final prediction of the vehicle pose across the vehicle population based on the prediction of vehicle pose from the asynchronous prediction module, wherein the computation is performed synchronously using a global time frame and the common system.

Apparatuses, methods, and systems of an edge server communicating with vehicles by continuously receiving messages which include data of state transitions of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) contained in each vehicle; monitoring in real-time the streamed message data from each vehicle for detection of updates of data about state transitions of ECUs used in the vehicular operations; crowdsourcing in real-time the state transition data of the ECUs during the vehicular operations to group together state transition data having commonality as crowdsource transition data; processing, using a machine learning model, the crowdsource transition data, to classify the crowdsource transition data of an anomaly event; and transmit in advance to an identified vehicle an alert of the anomaly event in order for a driver or ADAS to execute a response.

Methods, systems, and apparatuses for edge based notification through crowdsourced live fleet streamed communications

An updating system of a vehicle includes a communication module configured to wirelessly download an over the air (OTA) update package. The OTA update package includes: a predetermined period for beginning installation of the OTA update package; an indicator of a module and code to be updated; and replacement code. A display control module is configured to, when a transmission of the vehicle is in park and the predetermined period has not yet passed after the downloading of the OTA update package, display a message on a display within a passenger cabin of the vehicle. The message solicits user input regarding whether to: (i) begin installation of the OTA update package; or (ii) install the OTA update package at a later time.

Automated delivery and installation of over the air updates in vehicles

A vehicle includes a powertrain controller, an energy storage system (ESS), a traction motor, an electrical device such as an HVAC system and/or auxiliary system, and a navigation system. The navigation system generates a recommended eco-route or other travel route. The navigation system receives vehicle state information including a current powertrain state from the controller and a power load value from the device(s), including a state of charge of the ESS. The vehicle state information is used to select between a charge-depleting and a charge-sustaining costing model. The route is generated using the selected model, and then displayed. The navigation system includes a host machine which selects the model and generates the route, and a display screen for displaying the route. A method for generating the route includes receiving the current powertrain state and power load values, and using the state information to select between the charge-depleting and charge-sustaining models.

Navigation system and method of using vehicle state information for route modeling

A method of increasing a range of a vehicle by decreasing trapped HVAC energy at an end of a trip. The method may include the steps of: determining a destination list based on locations where the vehicle may be parked in the future, the destination list accessible by a control module in the vehicle; determining HVAC reduction regions around each of the locations on the destination list, the HVAC reduction regions accessible by the control module; operating a HVAC system while the vehicle is moving; tracking the location of the vehicle relative to the locations on the destination list; and the control module automatically reducing the energy usage of the HVAC system when the vehicle enters one of the HVAC reduction regions.
