A repair device () for affixing a migrating stent graft () to the interior surface of a vessel wall (). The repair device includes tubular graft () with a bare or uncovered stent () affixed to the proximal end (). The bare stent includes a plurality of distally pointed barbs () for securing the repair device to a vessel wall. A second stent () is positioned in the passage () of the tubular graft to expand the graft against the interior surface of the migrating stent graft (). Proximally pointing barbs () are affixed to the struts of the second stent and extend through the graft material for securing the repair device to the migrating stent graft. Biological glue () and other sealing material () can be applied to the tubular graft and/or stents for sealing the repair device against the vessel wall and/or the interior of the migrating stent graft.

Stent graft repair device

An implantable graft device having treated yarn is disclosed. The device comprises a graft body forming a lumen defining a longitudinal axis and comprising proximal and distal ends. The graft body comprises a woven fabric having warp yarns aligned in a first direction and a weft yarns aligned in a second direction. At least one of the weft yarns and the warp yarns has an agent applied thereto defining treated yarns of the graft body.

Implantable graft device having treated yarn and method for making same

A cast bioremodelable graft () including a cast tubular construct () of a bioremodelable substance (). The bioremodelable substance is cast on or applied to a form and then vacuum pressed to dry or harden the substance. Expandable members () are disposed on, in, under or about the cast tubular construct to expand the graft when released from an endoluminal delivery system. A second layer () can be applied over the first layer () and the expandable stents to contain the stents there between without the need for any separate attachment. The graft is dehydrated and preferably vacuum pressed to harden the bioremodelable substance. The form is removed to form one or more lumens (-) in the graft, which is then loaded on an endoluminal delivery system.

Cast bioremodelable graft

Drainage catheters for use in a variety of medical procedures are presented herein. The drainage catheter features an improved tension member locking mechanism. In use, once the drainage catheter is placed as desired, a second connector piece is rotated relative to a first connector piece to wind the tension member around a spooling region and pull the distal end of the catheter tube into a locked configuration. Once the tension member is tensioned, the first and second connector pieces are pulled into a locking engagement thereby securing the catheter tube in the locked configuration.

Suture winding for a drainage catheter

An implantable graft device having treated yarn is disclosed. The device includes a graft body forming a lumen defining a longitudinal axis and having proximal and distal ends. The graft body is constructed from a woven fabric having warp yarns aligned in a first direction and a weft yarns aligned in a second direction. At least one of the weft yarns and the warp yarns has an agent applied thereto defining treated yarns of the graft body.

A method of forming a coated medical device is described. A coating may be applied inline to a continuous tubing formed by extrusion, prior to cutting and secondary operations. Thus, inefficient and labor-intensive steps associated with preparing individual tubes for coating may be avoided. The method may include forcing a flowable material through an exit port of an extruder, depositing a coating onto at least a portion of the continuous length of extruded tubing after the tubing is forced through the exit port, cutting the coated tubing to a desired length after depositing the coating, and performing one or more secondary operations on the coated tube at a temperature in the range of from about 15&#xb0; C. to about 375&#xb0; C.

Inline application of coatings

Catheters having an overmolded hub are disclosed. The overmolded catheter hubs may include one or more access hubs that are overmolded with an overmold material. The catheter hub may also be formed as a single piece from the overmold material. The overmolded construction can result in a stronger bond between the catheter body and the hub and can provide for access hubs having sufficient clarity for the observation of air bubbles in a contained fluid. The disclosed catheter hubs may also demonstrate improved balloon deflation rates when utilized with a catheter body having a distal balloon.

Catheter having an overmolded hub

A rapid exchange stent delivery balloon catheter which allows exchange from a balloon angioplasty catheter to a stent delivery catheter without the need to replace the angioplasty catheter wire guide with an exchange-length wire guide before exchanging the catheters. The stent delivery catheter of the present invention includes a relatively short wire guide shaft which is bonded to the catheter shaft only at a location distal to the inflation lumen.

Rapid exchange stent delivery balloon catheter

A rapid exchange stent delivery balloon catheter which allows exchange from a balloon angioplasty catheter to a stent delivery catheter without the need to replace the angioplasty catheter wire guide with an exchange-length wire guide before exchanging the stent delivery catheter for the balloon angioplasty catheter. The stent delivery catheter of the present invention includes a relatively short wire guide shaft which is bonded to the catheter shaft only at a location distal to the inflation lumen.

A wire guide construction for medical procedures that involve accessing specific inner body areas without major surgery. The wire guide comprises a mandrel which is a coaxial composite of a thin stainless steel wire radially surrounded by a shape memory alloy, such as a nickel titanium alloy. The mandrel is of a constant diameter over the majority of its length except it is tapered at its distal end to reveal the inner stainless steel wire. A flexible coil of platinum is attached near the distal end of the mandrel and is secured in place when a smoothly rounded tip is welded to the distal tip of the mandrel. The complete wire guide can be coated with a polymer layer, and 70 to 80% of the distal portion of the wire guide can be coated with a hydrophilic polymer to increase lubricity.
