A control pad assembly for an input device includes a bracket with a support having a bearing surface, a button cap configured to pivot relative to the bracket, the button cap including a peripheral lip and a pivot member configured to abut against the bearing surface of the support, and a return mechanism configured to bias the button cap towards the bracket. The return mechanism includes a hub portion positioned at least partially between the button cap and the bracket, and at least a first spring having a fixed end connected to the hub portion and a free end that is configured to deflect relative to the fixed end, the free end being coupled to a first portion of the peripheral lip of the button cap.

Input device for an electronic system

A camera module includes a housing with an opening and a portion that surrounds the opening, wherein the portion of the housing is transparent to near infrared (NIR) light. A fisheye lens is disposed within the opening such that a portion of the fisheye lens protrudes through the opening. An image sensor is disposed within the housing and optically coupled to the fisheye lens. The image sensor is sensitive to visible light and NIR light. A plurality of NIR light emitters is disposed within the housing. The NIR light emitters are configured to emit NIR light through the NIR-transparent portion of the housing. The NIR-transparent portion of the housing may include a light-diffusing structure, such as a pattern of microlenses formed on an inner surface of the NIR-transparent portion of the housing, to spread out the NIR light emitted by the NIR light emitters.

A display console comprises a housing comprising a front panel, a light source disposed within the housing, a port positioned within an aperture of the front panel, and a diffuser. The diffuser comprises a first portion proximate the port and a second portion proximate the light source such that the diffuser diffuses light from the light source out the aperture of the front panel, wherein the second portion includes a flange.

A hardware product for creating a light ring and a dead front effect. The product may include a housing with an opening. The hardware product may also include a button positioned within the opening and configured to be depressed by a user. The button is constructed using a two-part molding process and includes a first shot and a second shot. The first shot is configured to disperse light around the perimeter shape of the opening. The second shot is constructed from an optically opaque or semi-opaque material. A single light-emitting component electrically coupled to the circuit board provides light for creating the light ring.

Example embodiments described herein involve a structural support for shielding from electromagnetic interference between components in a display system and for discharging electrostatic charges. The display system may be implemented in an autonomous vehicle. A display system may include a screen, a printed circuit board (PCB), and a cast housing comprising a metal. At least the screen and the PCB may be grounded to the cast housing. The cast housing may shield at least the screen and the PCB from electromagnetic interference. A grounding cable may be connected to the cast housing via a self-tapping screw, the grounding cable extending to an electrical ground.

The technology provides a camera module cover that prevents infrared light from leaking into the lens of an adjacent camera. The camera module cover can be used with in-vehicle environments, such as the passenger area and truck, as well as other indoor locations and places where infrared illumination is co-located with an optical camera system. An infrared illuminator unit is positioned adjacent to the camera, for instance in such a way that infrared light is evenly distributed or diffused around the camera lens. The camera module cover has a surface that includes an infrared-transparent material to promote even distribution of the infrared light. To avoid leakage into the camera lens, an infrared-opaque or otherwise blocking material is disposed within the cover so as to be between the infrared illuminator unit and the camera lens. The infrared-transparent and infrared-blocking materials may be formed as a single part via double injection molding.

A vehicle display apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus may comprise a housing configured to support a display cover and a backlight assembly configured to provide light to at least a portion of the display cover. The apparatus may also comprise a masking layer disposed between the backlight assembly and the display cover. Further, the apparatus may also include a first interface module having a connector body and a port extending from the connector body. The apparatus may also comprise a first support member disposed between the connector body of the first interface module and the backlight assembly.
