Systems and methods are disclosed for authenticating an identity of an online user. One method includes receiving from the user, through a first device, a request to access a web page associated with the user's online account; transmitting to the user an image that contains a unique ID and a URL of an authentication server; and receiving from the user, through the first device, an authentication request containing the unique ID. The method also includes receiving from the user, through a second device, a log-in ID associated with the user and the unique ID; and authenticating the identity of the user to grant the user access, through the first device, to the web page associated with the user's online account.

Systems and methods for using imaging to authenticate online users

In various embodiments, methods and systems for implementing a device management system with a restore prevention utility are provided. A request is received, at a control server, for an installation file for a restore prevention application. Based on receiving the request, the control server circumvents communication of the installation file based on transmitting a response code. The response code is an informational code that operates as an indicator to wait for a final response. Transmitting the response code triggers maintaining a pending state for the restore prevention application at the controlled device. The pending state includes the restore prevention application partially installed such that when the restore prevention application is partially installed an operating system cleanup utility operation to restore default device configurations for arranging application icons on the controlled device, is circumvented, to maintain an existing device configuration for arranging application icons on the controlled device.

In various embodiments, methods and systems for implementing motion-based parental controls on mobile devices using virtual private network (VPN)-based parental control services are provided. A parental control profile is received at a controlled device where the parental control profile includes instructions to configure the controlled device with a device motion-based control policy. The device motion-based control policy includes a motion-related condition and a resource that is restricted when the motion-related condition is met. A VPN is configured using the parental control profile. The VPN comprises a virtual point-to-point connection between the controlled device and a network of the parental control service. When it is determined that the motion-related condition of the controlled device has been met, a restricted mode is initiated on the controlled device to restrict the resource. It is contemplated that the restricted mode supports a VPN channel and a cellular channel for restricted and unrestricted resources, respectively.

In various embodiments, methods and systems for implementing parental controls on mobile devices using virtual private network (VPN)-based parental control services are provided. A parental control profile is received at a controlled device where the parental control profile includes instructions to configure the controlled device with a device control policy. A VPN is configured using the parental control profile. The VPN can be a virtual point-to-point connection between the controlled device and a network of the parental control service platform. Requests for resources from the controlled device are communicated using the VPN such that access to a resource of the resource request is based on a parental control server referencing a device control policy in the VPN-based parental control service. The device control policy includes at least a selected predefined parental control policy. It is contemplated that custom restricted resources and additional controls can be configured for the device control policy.

Systems and methods are provided for providing generating and managing profiles. Such systems and methods may be implemented to control access to a function of a web server or site based on a level of trust associated with a user or device profile. According to one exemplary method, session information associated with a request to access a function of a web server is identified. At least one processor determines whether the request is associated with a trusted device profile based on the at least the session information. Access to the requested function is provided when the request is associated with a trusted device profile.

Systems and methods for profiling client devices

Systems and methods are disclosed for providing, generating, and managing profiles. Such systems and methods may be implemented to control access to a function of a web server or site based on a level of trust associated with a user or device profile. According to one exemplary method, session information associated with a request to access a function of a web server is identified. At least one processor determines whether the request is associated with a trusted device profile based on the at least the session information. Access to the requested function is provided when the request is associated with a trusted device profile.

System and methods for profiling client devices

Systems and methods are provided for challenge/response animation. In one implementation, a request for protected content may be received from a client, and the protected content may comprise data. A challenge phrase comprising a plurality of characters may be determined, and a computer processor may divide the challenge phrase into at least two character subsets selected from the characters comprising the challenge phrase. Each of the at least two character subsets may include less than all of the characters comprising the challenge phrase. The at least two character subsets may be sent to the client in response to the request; and an answer to the challenge phrase may be received from the client in response to the at least two character subsets. Access to the protected content may be limited based on whether the answer correctly solves the challenge phrase.
