A float drain for an enclosure can include a basket to collect liquid from the enclosure, a sealing structure surrounding an outlet of the basket, and a float configured to seat against the sealing surface to prevent fluid flow out of the outlet and to rise off of the sealing surface due to buoyancy forces as the liquid collects in the basket. The float drain can include other features, including: ribs or other protrusions extending into an interior are of the basket to space the float apart from an inner wall of the basket; an angled orientation of the sealing surface; and a trough, at least partly defined by the sealing structure, to collect debris.

Embodiments of the disclosure provide an encapsulated compressor overload, an encapsulated compressor relay start, an encapsulated head pressure control switch and a wiring diagram for a circuit for air conditioning units which prevent gases from being ignited by means of encapsulating sparking components, use of solid-state switching devices, and/or wiring circuits in such a way that open contacts do not contain enough energy to produce a spark capable of igniting the atmosphere.

Embodiments of the invention provide an air conditioning unit that includes an intake vent, an exhaust vent, a return vent, a supply vent, and an economizer assembly including a sliding damper and a partition. The partition includes an opening through which air can flow from the return vent to the supply vent during a mechanical cooling mode. The sliding damper includes a vertical panel capable of moving vertically to close the intake vent and the exhaust vent during the mechanical cooling mode and an angled panel capable of closing the opening in the partition in order to enter an economizer mode.
