A module builder includes a wrap floor system including a wrap floor belt wrapped around a front belt sheave and a first drive system coupled to the wrap floor system. The first drive system includes a main drive belt coupled to a rear belt sheave and the front belt sheave, wherein in an engagement mode of operation the main drive belt is tensioned to rotate the rear belt sheave, and in a disengagement mode of operation the main drive belt loses tension to cease rotation of the rear belt sheave. The builder includes a second drive system coupled to a baler belt to drive the baler belt into a module forming chamber. The first drive system further includes one or more of a rear lower gate roller, friction wheel, wrap box roller, electric clutch, or motor to engage and drive the main drive belt.

Positive drive wrap delivery system

A method and apparatus for harvesting cotton including a cotton accumulator configured to accumulate cotton removed from cotton plants. A feeder system of a cotton harvester is configured to move independently of the cotton accumulator and along a longitudinal direction. A round module builder system is configured to move along the longitudinal direction toward the feeder system, wherein the round module builder includes a contact member adapted to contact the feeder system to establish a working gap between the feeder system and the round module builder. A wrap floor is moved toward and into contact with the feeder system, which is spring biased to maintain a substantially consistent gap between the between the feeder system and round module builder. Cotton is directed toward the round module builder and a directing mechanism directs a wrap for wrapping the directed cotton into a round module.

Movable feed floor for a cotton harvester

A wrap device for communicating a wrap to a bale chamber of a round module builder. The round module builder comprises a bale sheave for driving a bale belt to wrap a round module with the wrap. The wrap device comprises a wrap floor. A wrap floor linkage couples the wrap floor to the round module builder. A first sheave and a second sheave are coupled to the wrap floor. A wrap floor belt is supported by the first and second sheaves. An actuator is coupled to at least one of the wrap floor linkage and the wrap floor to move the wrap floor from a disengaged position to an engaged position. In the disengaged position, the wrap is not communicated to the bale chamber. In the engaged position, the wrap floor belt engages the bale belt and communicates the wrap to the bale chamber.

Wrap device for a round module builder

A wrap feed arrangement is disclosed for an agricultural harvester having a module-forming chamber. The arrangement includes a conveyor arrangement, which delivers crop to the module-forming chamber, and a module-forming arrangement which, at least in part, builds the module. The conveyor arrangement has a first roll and a first endless member disposed about the first roll for rotation. The module-forming arrangement has a second roll and a second endless member disposed about the second roll for rotation. At least one of the first and second rolls is movable from a first position in which the first and second endless members are disengaged to a second position in which the first and second endless members are engaged.

Module wrap feed arrangement

A chassis augmentation assembly for, and an agricultural vehicle with, a chassis having a main frame supporting front and rear axles has longitudinally spaced chassis mounts attached to the vehicle and a beam assembly having at least one structural beam segment vertically spaced from the main frame. The beam assembly has longitudinally spaced ends coupled to the vehicle chassis via the chassis mounts. The beam assembly is configured to transfer longitudinal forces between the chassis mounts through the one or more structural beam segments.

Chassis augmentation for agricultural vehicles

A cotton handling system is provided for a cotton harvesting machine with an onboard accumulator and a baling chamber. The cotton handling system includes meter, beater and feeder arrangements positioned downstream from one another for processing and conveying cotton from the accumulator to the baling chamber. A sequencing arrangement includes at least one mechanical sequencing device operatively coupled to the feeder arrangement and at least one of the meter and beater arrangements such that at least the feeder arrangement has a start-up activation time that is different from the meter and/or beater arrangements.

An adjustable material-conveying duct and a flow area adjustment device are described. The duct may include two wall sections, the second wall section having two mounting connections, oriented at an angle with respect to one another. When the second wall section is mounted to the first wall section via a first mounting connection, the wall sections form a first angle in a flow channel of the duct. When the second wall section is mounted to the first wall section via a second mounting connection, the wall sections form a second, different angle in the flow channel. A flow sensor, controller and automatic adjustment device may also be utilized to control the orientation of the wall sections.

A cotton accumulator system for a cotton harvester. The cotton accumulator system includes a cotton storage structure having an upper inlet and a lower outlet. A paddle shaft is coupleable to the cotton storage structure and configured to rotate about an axis. A plurality of paddles is coupleable to the paddle shaft. The plurality of paddles is configured to rotate with the paddle shaft to disperse cotton substantially evenly in the cotton storage structure.

A baler for making large cylindrical modules of cotton includes an expansible module-forming chamber comprising a plurality of module-forming belts that are supported in side-by-side relationship across a plurality of fixed and movable belt support rolls. The module-forming chamber includes a fixed front section and a movable rear section in the form of a discharge gate mounted to an upper rear location of the front section for pivoting between a lowered baling position and a raised discharge position. Located at the bottom of the baling chamber between a bottom fixed belt support roll and a lower front roll of the lowered discharge gate is an inlet through which cotton passes into the module-forming chamber. A module wrapping arrangement is carried on the discharge gate for selectively feeding a length of plastic sheet material into the inlet for being wrapped about the circumference of a cotton module formed in the chamber. Located within the inlet in front of the lower front gate roll is a rake-like cotton bunching eliminator which operates to prevent cotton from bunching prior to being fed onto the circumference of a rotating cotton module during the operation of wrapping the module, thus eliminating the formation of lumps on the circumference of the module.

A utility box positioning fixture provides a box holding device onto which a utility box may be easily placed and held relative to the fixture. A set of jaw and spacer bars are mounted onto a vertically held support bar, the width of the jaw and spacer bars establishing the horizontal position of the utility box relative to a horizontal stringer and a vertical stud of a wall structure. With the utility box positioned against the side surface of the stud, and with the jaw bars positioned against the front face of the stud, the box is positioned for mounting and therefore may be accurately fastened into place on the stud.
