A shift gate assembly that can include a shift plate, a gate seal and a shift lever. The shift plate can include a lever opening having an opening centerline. The gate seal can be made of an elastic material and connected to the shift plate and extend along the lever opening. The gate seal can include a slit extending along the lever opening and offset with respect to the opening centerline. The shift lever can extend through the lever opening and the slit, be selectively movable along the lever opening and the slit, and elastically deform the gate seal as the shift lever moves along the slit.

A gear shift lever biasing apparatus includes a shift lever biased primarily along a first dimension axis using a spring. The shift lever is retained to a backing plate, which may be mounted on a frame. A contact area on the backing plate engages with a bumper that is secured to the frame with a semi-rigid retainer, thereby providing bias to the gated shift lever primarily along a second dimension axis that is primarily orthogonal to the first dimension axis.

A shielding element for protecting at least one suspension and/or driveline component. The shielding element is connected to a suspension component. The suspension component extends in a first axial direction and includes a mounting portion at one end for mounting the suspension component to a vehicle. The suspension component further includes a second end for mounting the suspension component to a knuckle. The second mounting portion is capable of receiving a suspension mounting component, which may be or include a ball joint. The shielding element is located near the second mounting portion. The shielding element extends from a surface of the suspension component in a second direction different from the first direction. The portion of the protection element that extends in the second direction may protect at least one of the mounting point, the suspension mounting component, and the driveline component from contact with debris.

A method of securing a yoke to a clutch includes arranging a circlip in a circumferential channel in an outer surface of a tool and inserting the tool inside a bore in the clutch. Legs arranged in the channel extend to expand the circlip to an expanded state to arrange the circlip outside of the channel in a circumferential groove in the bore. A spacer is snapped onto a portion of the clutch and arranged between two ends of the circlip to secure the circlip in the expanded state. The tool is then removed from the bore, and a yoke is inserted into the bore. The spacer is then removed from the bore allowing the circlip to contract such that the spacer partially occupies both the groove and a circumferential depression in the yoke. This secures the yoke to the clutch.

An all-terrain vehicle includes a frame including a front frame part and a separate rear frame part connected to the front frame part via frame joints. A surface is supported by one of the front frame part and the rear frame part. An engine is supported by the rear frame part and is positioned behind the seating surface. Front wheels operably coupled to the front frame part are drivingly coupled to the engine via a front drive unit. Rear wheels operably coupled to the rear frame part are drivingly coupled to the engine via a rear drive unit. A brake system is mounted to the frame and includes front wheel brakes and rear wheel brakes. The brake system further includes a brake modulator and a master brake cylinder operably connected to the brake modulator. The brake modulator is mounted to the front frame part.

The axle support assembly includes a driven member and a cross member assembly. The driven member is rotatably coupled with the swing member and is rotatable about a drive axis. The cross member assembly includes a first pivot member and a second pivot member. The first pivot member is pivotally coupled with the driven member and is pivotable with respect to the driven member. The second pivot member is pivotally coupled with the first pivot member and is pivotable with respect to the first pivot member. The axle is coupled with one of the first and second pivot members and is rotatable. Rotation of the driven member about the drive axis facilitates rotation of the axle.

An axle carrier assembly is provided for a vehicle. The axle carrier assembly includes an axle carrier, a first cylinder, a second cylinder, and an actuator. The axle carrier is configured to rotatably support an axle. The first cylinder is rotatably supported by the axle carrier such that the first cylinder is rotatable about a first axis. The first cylinder is configured to support a vehicular swing member. The second cylinder is rotatably supported by the axle carrier such that the second cylinder is rotatable about a second axis. The second cylinder is configured to support a vehicular swing member. The actuator is associated with each of the first and second cylinders. The actuator is configured to substantially simultaneously rotate the first cylinder and the second cylinder with respect to the axle carrier.

An adjustable handlebar assembly for a saddle-type vehicle includes a base member, a support member, a left handlebar and a right handlebar. The support member is rotatably coupled to the base member and each of the left handlebar and the right handlebar is attached to the support member. The support member is configured to permit the left handlebar and the right handlebar to be selectively moved relative to the support member and the base member, independently of one another, to selectively adjust each of the left handlebar and the right handlebar in respective, generally longitudinal directions along a saddle-type vehicle, when the adjustable handlebar assembly is pivotally coupled to a frame of the saddle-type vehicle.

Vehicles, such as all terrain vehicles, can be provided with a frame and a fender assembly. The fender assembly can have layered fender panels attached together with a bolt and T-nut. A channel can be formed between the fender panels to facilitate passage of fluid along a predetermined pathway. A seat includes a compression surface for sandwiching the fender assembly with respect to the frame. Front and rear fender assemblies can be attached to the frame by a midpoint fastener passing through respective apertures in each of the front and rear fender assemblies, through a grommet, and into the frame.
