An overhead console assembly for a vehicle includes accessory module compartments selectively positioned and removably secured to the overhead console for storing materials within the compartments. The overhead console includes a first console housing disposed to an miner surface of a structural member of a headliner assembly on a roofline of a vehicle, a second console housing disposed on the structural member of the headliner spaced apart from the first console housing and a center console housing disposed between the first and second console housings. At least one accessory module is removably secured to the center console housing. The at least one accessory module includes a housing, a storage area defined within the housing to retain materials stored within, and at least one securing member coupling the at least one module to a securement surface provided on the center console housing.

Overhead console for a vehicle

A conductive liner includes an electrically non-conductive core layer between two electrically conductive layers. At least one of the two electrically conductive layers includes conductive particles. The electrically conductive layers are capable of conducting sufficient electricity to power at least one electrical component in a vehicle. In a preferred embodiment, the conductive particles are fibers, such as carbon fibers, or the like that are preferably homogeneously dispersed within the conductive layer. The conductive fiber layers provide structural reinforcement to the liner, in addition to providing electrical conductivity. The conductive liner can further include a top and bottom scrim/adhesive layer, as well as a decorative, cover material layer. The present invention eliminates the need for a separate wiring and wire harness as in conventional liners. When the conductive layer comprises reinforcing fiber, the present invention also eliminates the need to have non-conductive reinforcing material, such as fiberglass reinforcing layers to sandwich the core layer of the liner. A method of making the electrically conductive liner of the invention is also disclosed.

Conductive interior liner for a vehicle

A vehicle display system includes a display which is selectively movable between a first position in which it is viewable by a driver and a second position in which it is viewable by the rear passengers but not the driver. In the first position, the display provides a rear view from a camera mounted at the rear of the vehicle. In the second position, the display provides entertainment to the passengers in the rear seats.

A method of manufacturing a sunshade for use with a vehicle having a sunroof includes cutting away material from a headliner to form a cutout and to define a sunroof opening in the headliner; and attaching edging to the cutout to form the sunshade. The sunshade produced by the method has improved color match and/or texture match with the headliner.

Method of making a sunroof sunshade

A wire harness includes a plurality of wires encased in a continuous foam sheath. The sheath is mounted adjacent a first surface of a vehicle pillar. A trim panel secured to the pillar encloses the wire harness. Connectors on the trim panel pass through apertures through the sheath and snap-fit into apertures in the pillar.
