The present invention provides a method for diagnosing and detecting diseases associated with pancreas. The present invention provides one or more proteins or fragments thereof, peptides or nucleic acid molecules differentially expressed in pancreatic diseases (PCAT) and antibodies binds to PCAT. The present invention provides that PCAT is used as targets for screening agents that modulates the PCAT activities. Further, the present invention provides methods for treating diseases associated with pancreas.

Pancreatic cancer targets and uses thereof

An elongated shaft has a shock-absorbing core, a fiber-reinforced durable plastic outer skin encasing the core, and an elongated stiffening member encased within the core. The elongated stiffening member may be a spar or a hollow tube. If it is a hollow tube, the tube may contain a weight that moves along the inside of the tube as the shaft is swung. The shaft also has a way to attach athletic equipment, such as a lacrosse head frame and net or hockey blade, to one end.

A portable wash basin device is disclosed. The device includes a sink for receiving fresh water therein for permitting a user thereof to wash. A non-flying land based training or testing vehicle with helicopter style main controls and capable of transporting at least one human operator. A preferred embodiment includes a chassis; ground contacting wheels supporting the chassis; a power-plant for driving a wheel and propelling the vehicle; at least one seat for the operator. The controls simulating helicopter controls are within reach of the operator and operatively connected with a computer and electric/hydraulic mechanisms (for example only) to provide similar effects as helicopter controls when manipulated. Such controls include a hand manipulable cyclic (joystick) providing an X-axis output for steering vehicle heading and a Y-axis output for determining forward or reverse travel; a lever style hand operated collective applying various loads to the power-plant to simulate changes in main-rotor blade pitch; and a grip for power-plant RPM manual manipulation by the operator for learning or practicing the maintenance of RPM under changing loads associated with various positions of the collective. Also included is a pair of foot pedals for making the rear wheels steer more than or less than the front wheels in a four wheel steering embodiment, and for simulating tail-rotor blade pitch or anti-torque control of a helicopter.

Helicopter flight training vehicle

A small and lightweight, and thus hand carried storage case for a handgun is provided in a plastic rectangular container having a lockable lid. The interior chamber of the case is sized and structured for securely retaining a handgun in a stationary position. The interior floor of the storage case has a hollow cylindrical post over which the trigger guard of the handgun must be placed when inserted into the case. An aperture located on the lid aligns with the hollow post, creating a passageway through the case. The passageway is structured for retaining a small lock bolt which is retained in position with a conventional padlock. Once the lid is affixed to the case and secured with the locking apparatus, the gun cannot be removed from the case.

Lockable storage case for a handgun

A method and apparatus are described for cutting, drilling, ablating, fusing or altering dental tissues including enamel, dentine, bone, and cementium among others. Far infrared radiation of wavelengths between 2.5 and 3.2 microns are used to selectively affect dental tissue, where the radiation energy density determines whether cutting, fusing or other effects are produced. Either continuous wave or pulsed radiation can be used, a suitable IR source being an Erbium YSGG laser having an output wavelength of 2.79 microns. The exposed dental tissue is removed, fused, or otherwise affected without damage to the surrounding tissues depending on the duration of the exposure. Medical and dental applications include the removal of carious lesions and the preparation of a carious lesion for filling with an appropriate filler material, the cutting or sectioning of healthy tissue, the sealing of cracks and fissures in the hard tissues, the fusing of enamel surfaces in order to prevent decay, the removal of calculus deposits, the preparation of implant sites, the application of coatings chemically similar to the dental hard tissue by fusion induced by the radiation, sealing of root surfaces in the treatment of sensitive teeth, the sterilization root surfaces and many more natural extensions of the invention.
