Described is a woven terry fabric article that includes a body having a first end and a second end opposite one another, and a first side edge and a second side edge opposite one another and generally perpendicular to the first and second opposite ends. The article further includes a first terry zone having a pile with a first pile height, a second terry zone having a pile with a second pile height, and a first faux dobby zone intermediate to the first and second terry zones. The first faux dobby zone has a pile with one or more pile heights that are visibly distinct from the pile heights of the first and second terry zones. In embodiments, the one or more pile heights in the faux dobby zone are less than the pile height of the adjacent zones, such as 50% less, 40% less, or 35% less.

A curtain sanitizer device and method, such as for use in the healthcare industry, is disclosed that can sanitize at least a portion of the surface of a hung curtain, e.g. a privacy curtain, by directing UV-C light thereat to kill or inactivate harmful microorganisms thereon that can cause infectious disease, thereby reducing the risk of spreading infectious disease. In one example, at least a portion of opposite surfaces or sides of the hung curtain can be simultaneously sanitized. The curtain sanitizer device and method can allow the curtain to be cleaned in place, and can be easier to use and less costly and time consuming than other currently available methods and devices.

A method for removing chlorhexidine and/or avobenzone from fabric materials utilizes an acidic detergent composition including phosphoric acid and a surfactant in a flush cycle of a washing machine adapted to perform separate flush, wash, and bleaching cycles. The acidic detergent composition is present in the flush solution in a sufficient quantity to provide a pH less than about 5 and, advantageously, above about 2. The acidic detergent composition is advantageously substantially free of a chlorine-based oxidant.

The support also includes at least one strap attached to the sheet of material and configured to extend over one of the lateral edges. In addition, the support includes at least one fastener tab secured to a free end of a respective strap, wherein the fastener tab supports fastening material that is configured to attach to at least one of the strap and sheet of material to secure the sheet of material about the portion of the wearer's anatomy.

An orthopedic support includes a sheet of flexible material having a proximal edge and a distal edge configured to extend at least partially around a portion of the wearer's anatomy and a pair of opposing lateral edges configured to at least partially enclose the portion of the wearer's anatomy. An ankle brace for comfortably supporting an ankle of a wearer by inhibiting motion between a foot and lower leg of the wearer. The ankle brace employs a laminated, moisture-wicking material for leg and foot portions that improves wearability during athletic activities. The leg and foot portions are combined with medial and lateral stays that are supported within pockets of the leg portion so as to provide medial and lateral stability for the ankle. A strapping unit is used to further improve stability with a pair of straps that are formed of the same piece of laminate material as the foot portion and extend upwards from the foot portion to cross over the ankle and attach to the leg portion. Advantageously, constructing the straps from the same piece of material as the foot portion eliminates fasteners and overlapping material and allows the ankle brace to be used with off-the-shelf footwear.

A valve assembly for a patient support having a mattress including a bladder comprises an interior housing formed to include a supply chamber, an exhaust chamber, a plenum, and an exterior housing surrounding the interior housing. A supply valve and an exhaust valve are located in the interior housing and connect the supply chamber and the exhaust chamber, respectively, to the plenum. A supply solenoid and an exhaust solenoid are coupled to the interior housing and covered by the exterior housing. The supply solenoid and the exhaust solenoid are coupled to the supply and exhaust valves respectively.

A percussion and vibration apparatus for use in a bed is provided. A pressurized air input port is configured to be coupled to a pressurized air supply system. A valve assembly is coupled to the pressurized air input port. A percussion and vibration bladder port is coupled to the valve assembly and configured to be coupled to at least one percussion and vibration bladder. A controller is coupled to the valve assembly and configured to be coupled to a communication network to regulate flow of pressurized air through the valve assembly from the pressurized air input port to the percussion and vibration bladder port.
