A recessed D-subminiature connector assembly, and device with D-subminiature connector assembly, with flush mount cover connector is disclosed. The D-subminiature connector assembly may include a flush panel mount solution when using a D-Sub connector that allows the dust cover or cap to be in the same plane as the external side of the panel it is mounted to. The D-subminiature connector assembly also includes a panel-side interface flange sized to receive the second side of the D-shaped connector so a surface of the second side of the D-Shaped connector is parallel to, and recessed from, a plane of the panel-side interface flange and thus recessed from an opening of a panel of a device to which the connector assembly is mounted.

A sealable laser diode heat sink module for a laser diode includes an anode assembly and a cathode assembly having a cathode base and a cathode connector plate. The anode assembly includes an anode base configured to house the laser diode and the cathode base within a sealable cavity recessed into the anode base. The anode base has a cathode base opening configured to receive the cathode connector plate. An anode connector plate extends from the anode base. An anode current path passes through the laser diode and the anode connector plate via direct connections through the anode base. A cathode current path passes through the cathode connector plate passes via direct connections through the cathode base. The anode base is configured to dissipate heat from the laser diode.

A fiber optic ferrule coupling system including a ferrule interface plate having a ferrule port extending therethrough and a pocket in a side of the ferrule interface plate adjacent to the ferrule port, wherein a spring element disposed in the pocket partially protrudes into the port and applies an adjustable spring force to a ferrule connector inserted in the ferrule port via a spring cover fittable within the pocket.

Fiber optic ferrule coupling system

A coupler for coupling a light source to a fiber optic, comprising an adapter having a cavity for receiving the fiber optic, said adapter including pins extending in a direction perpendicular to the fiber optic's axis; a coupler body having an aperture for receiving the adapter, said aperture including a pair of through slots for receiving the pins, said body including interior pin sockets radially offset from the slots; a plate mounted within the coupler body; and biasing means urging said plate towards the aperture in the coupling body wherein when the adapter is inserted into the aperture of the coupler body, the adapter initially urges the plate in a direction away from the aperture, whereupon the adapter is rotated until the pins become aligned with and captured within the pin sockets allowing the plate to be urged in a direction back towards the aperture locking the coupler in place.
