A transcatheter valve prosthesis including a tubular stent includes an interior skirt or skirt portion is coupled to and covers an inner circumferential surface of the stent, and an exterior skirt or skirt portion is coupled to and covers an outer circumferential surface of the stent. A prosthetic valve component is disposed within and secured to the interior skirt or skirt portion. The interior and exterior skirts or skirt portions may overlap to form a double layer of skirt material on the stent, or may be portions of a skirt that do not overlap such that only a single layer of skirt material covers the stent. When the stent is in at least the compressed configuration, at least one endmost crown may be positioned radially inwards with respect to the remaining endmost crowns formed at the inflow end of the stent in order to accommodate the exterior skirt.

Transcatheter valve prosthesis having an external skirt for sealing and preventing paravalvular leakage

Devices and methods for use in a cardiac valve repair procedure, particularly a tricuspid valve repair procedure. An interventional clip device includes a pair of distal elements rotatably joined to a coupling member, and a pair of proximal elements resiliently biased toward the distal elements to grasp tissue therebetween. The proximal elements include a plurality of adjustable tines moveable between a retracted configuration and an open configuration to avoid damage to tissue prior to engagement while allowing tines to enhance gripping to targeted tissue when open. A delivery system enables delivery of an interventional clip to a targeted cardiac valve, and includes a support structure for maintaining position relative to the cardiac valve.

A system for cutting leaflet tissue at a cardiac valve may comprise a guide catheter having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the distal end of the guide catheter is steerable to a position above a cardiac valve. The system may also include a handle coupled to the proximal end of the guide catheter, the handle comprising at least one control configured to steer the guide catheter to the position above the cardiac valve. Finally, the system may comprise a cutting mechanism routable through the guide catheter and able to be positioned at the distal end of the guide catheter, the cutting mechanism configured to cut a portion of leaflet tissue of the cardiac valve.

Devices and methods for leaflet cutting

A system configured to cut leaflet tissue at a cardiac valve may comprise a guide catheter having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the distal end of the guide catheter is steerable to a position above a cardiac valve. The system may also include a hook catheter having a proximal end and a distal end, the hook catheter configured to extend from the distal end of the guide catheter through a first orifice of the cardiac valve. Further, the system may comprise a cutting mechanism extending from the hook catheter, the cutting mechanism configured to cut a portion of leaflet tissue of the cardiac valve. Finally, the system may include a handle coupled to the proximal end of the guide catheter, the handle comprising at least one control operatively connected to the cutting mechanism.

Systems and methods for leaflet cutting using a hook catheter

Medical device delivery system including a catheter, handle, lock line handle, and lock line. The catheter includes a proximal end portion and a distal end portion. The handle is coupled to the proximal end portion of the catheter. The lock line handle is releasably coupled to the handle and actuatable between a lock position and an unlock position. The lock line includes a first end portion fixedly coupled to the lock line handle, a second end portion releasably coupled to the lock line handle, and an intermediate portion configured to be releasably coupled to the medical implant disposed proximate the distal end portion of the catheter. Actuating the lock line handle from the lock position toward the unlock position increases tension on the lock line, and actuating the lock line handle from the unlock position toward the lock position decreases tension on the lock line.

A fastening system may comprise one or more components configured for arresting or restricting translation of a delivery catheter of a medical device, including a mitral valve fixation device such as the MitraClip®. The present disclosure relates to delivery devices and interventional devices configured to enable monitoring of pressure and other hemodynamic properties before, during, and/or after a cardiac procedure. A guide catheter includes a routing lumen or a routing groove for routing a sensor wire to a desired location during a cardiac procedure. A guide catheter includes one or more pressure sensors positioned to provide desired pressure measurements when the guide catheter is deploying an interventional device. An interventional device may also include one or more associated sensors for providing hemodynamic information before, during, and/or after deployment.

A method for improving function of a cardiac valve in a patient, the cardiac valve having at least one leaflet that is attached to a papillary muscle: Inserting a balloon, that is in a first uninflated condition and having a first diameter, within tissue that is part of to the papillary muscle, and thereby separating tissue that was previously connected together, by a maximum amount equal to the first diameter; inflating the balloon to a second inflated condition having a second diameter greater than the first diameter, thereby permanently stretching tissue in the papillary muscle and separating the tissue from the first diameter to a maximum amount equal to the second diameter; deflating the balloon to the first uninflated condition, and thereby returning the tissue to a separation of a maximum amount substantially equal to the first diameter; and then removing the balloon from the patient.

System and method for correcting valve regurgitation

Devices and methods for delivering a sealing element post-implantation of valve prosthesis that functions to occlude or fill gaps present between the valve prosthesis and the native valve tissue, thereby reducing, minimizing, or eliminating leaks there through. In a first method, an injectable material is placed within a native valve sinus to form a sealing element that presses native valve leaflets against an outer surface of a heart valve prosthesis. In a second method, an injectable sealing material or a preformed annular sealing component is positioned between the outer surface or perimeter of a heart valve prosthesis and native heart valve tissue. In a third method, a preformed sealing element or component is placed within a heart valve prosthesis to press the prosthesis against native valve tissue.

Methods and devices for repairing and/or preventing paravalvular leakage post-implantation of a valve prosthesis

A valve prosthesis includes one or more anti-paravalvular leakage components coupled to a stent. The anti-paravalvular leakage component may encircle the stent and include a radially expandable control ring coupled to an unattached edge of a flexible skirt which extends the unattached skirt edge outwardly away from the stent and against the native heart valve to form an open-ended annular pocket around the stent. The anti-paravalvular leakage component may encircle the perimeter of the stent and include a flexible skirt having opposing edges coupled to the stent to form one or more enclosed compartments around the stent. Each compartment includes a one-way valve which allows for blood flow into the compartment but prevents blood flow out of the compartment. The anti-paravalvular leakage component may be at least one flap that is coupled to an inner surface of the stent and formed of a flexible material moveable by blood flow.
