A centrifugal brake assembly comprises a pawl and a rotor. The rotor includes a receiving portion configured and arranged to receive a portion of the pawl. The pawl is movable relative to the rotor between an engaged position and a disengaged position. One of the pawl and the rotor has a curved slotted portion, and another of the pawl and the rotor has an elongated curved protrusion. The elongated curved protrusion at least partially extends within the curved slotted portion and moves generally along the curved slotted portion when the pawl moves between the engaged position and the disengaged position.

Centrifugal brake assembly

A safety device with fall arrest and descending modes includes a housing, a drum, a lifeline, first and second brake assemblies, and a control. The drum is rotatably operatively connected to the housing. The lifeline has an intermediate portion interconnecting a first end and a second end. The first end is operatively connected to the drum. The first and second assemblies are operatively connected to the drum. The control is operatively connected to the first and second brake assemblies and has a first position and a second position. The first position selectively engages the first brake assembly in a descending mode and the second position selectively engages the second brake assembly in a fall arrest mode.

A breakaway keeper includes a base and a loop portion. The base is configured and arranged to engage a strap. The loop portion extends outward from the base to form a channel configured and arranged to receive a portion of a connector. The loop portion is configured and arranged to be engaged by the connector and deform and release the connector when subjected to a predetermined force.

Breakaway keeper

A safety harness connector assembly including a D-ring, a device connector system and a shaft. The D-ring is generally a C-shape including a first end portion, a second end portion and mid-portion. The mid-portion extends between the first end portion and the second end portion. The first end portion has a first D-ring aperture and the second end portion having has a second D-ring aperture that is aligned with the first D-ring aperture. The device connector system includes at least one device connection aperture that is configured and arranged to couple a device to the safety harness connector assembly. The device connector system has at least one shaft connection aperture. A shaft is received in the first and second D-ring apertures of the D-ring and in the at least one shaft connection aperture of the device connector system to pivotally couple the device connector system to the D-ring.

Integral safety harness connector assembly

An energy absorber assembly for use with a safety harness comprises a connector, a bracket assembly, a fastener, and an energy absorber. The connector is configured and arranged to operatively connect to the safety harness. The fastener operatively connects the bracket assembly and the connector, and the fastener releases the bracket assembly from the connector when subjected to a predetermined load. The energy absorber operatively connects the bracket assembly and the connector, and the energy absorber includes a first portion and a second portion that separate to absorb shock after the bracket assembly is released from the connector.

Energy absorber assembly and components thereof

A D-ring keeper assembly is provided. The D-ring keeper assembly includes a D-ring and a base member. The D-ring has a mid-portion, a first end portion and a second end portion. The mid-portion is curved in generally a C-shape. The D-ring further has at least one post that extends between the first and second end portions. The base member is configured and arranged to be coupled to a webbing. The at least one post of the D-ring is pivotally in communication with the base member. The base member further includes at least one locking tab that is configured and arranged to lock the position of the D-ring in relation to the base member.

D-ring keeper assembly

A safety harness connector is provided, the safety harness connector includes a male buckle system and female buckle system. The male buckle system is configured and arranged to be coupled to at least one first webbing. The male buckle system further includes a male connection portion. The female buckle system is configured and arranged to be coupled to at least one second webbing. The female buckle system includes a female housing member having a receiving chamber to selectively receive the male connection portion of the male buckle system. The receiving chamber has a select receiving chamber depth. The female housing member further has a movement channel portion that is connected to the receiving channel. The movement channel portion has a movement channel depth that is greater than the receiving channel depth. At least a portion of the male connection portion of the male buckle system is positioned within the movement channel portion of the female housing member when the male buckle system is coupled to the female buckle system.

Safety harness connector assembly

A brake assembly for use with a retractable lifeline assembly comprises a brake hub, a pressure plate, a first friction disk, a brake plate, a second friction disk, and a lock nut. The brake hub includes a flange extending outward from an at least partially threaded shaft. The pressure plate is positioned on the at least partially threaded shaft proximate the flange. The first friction disk is positioned on the at least partially threaded shaft proximate the pressure plate. The brake plate is positioned on the at least partially threaded shaft proximate the first friction disk. The second friction disk is positioned on the at least partially threaded shaft proximate the brake plate. The lock nut is threaded onto the at least partially threaded shaft, and the lock nut is set to a desired torque at which the brake plate slips prior to final assembly of the retractable lifeline assembly.

Brake assembly for use with a retractable lifeline assembly

A centrifugal brake assembly comprises at least one pawl, at least one biasing member, and a rotor. The at least one pawl includes a base from which a circular portion and a triangular protrusion extend to form a notch. The rotor includes at least one receiving portion having a notched portion to receive the circular portion. One of the at least one pawl and the rotor has a slotted portion, and the at least one biasing member is seated within the slotted portion. Another of the at least one pawl and the rotor has a protrusion at least partially extending within the slotted portion. The notch engages a stop member and the base contacts the rotor when the at least one pawl is in an engaged position to reinforce engagement of the stop member by the at least one pawl.

A bracket assembly includes a first flange portion with a first flange aperture. A swivel portion has first and second leg portions, each with an aperture, extending outward from a second flange portion with an aperture. The first and second leg portions define a first opening that receives the first flange portion. The first flange aperture, the first leg aperture, and the second leg aperture align and the first fastener extends therethrough. The swivel portion pivots about the first fastener in a first direction. A connector has first and second prongs, each with an aperture, defining a second opening that receives the second flange portion. The first prong aperture, the second prong aperture, and the second flange aperture align and the second fastener extends therethrough. The connector pivots about the second fastener in a second direction opposite the first direction.

Bracket assembly

A cover for an energy absorber comprises front and rear sides having first and second legs extending downward forming an upside down V-shape. The front and rear sides define a cavity therebetween and an opening provides access to the cavity proximate a top portion of the front side and a top of the rear side. The top portion is configured and arranged to engage a connector. The top portion includes a first portion of a fastener, and the top includes a second portion of the fastener. The first and second portions releasably interconnect the top portion and the top. A first strap is operatively connected to the first leg and is configured and arranged to engage a first shoulder strap of the safety harness. A second strap is operatively connected to the second leg and is configured and arranged to engage a second shoulder strap of the safety harness.

Energy absorber cover

A rope grab for a vertical fall protection system is provided. The rope grab includes a housing with an elongated member passage. The elongated member passage is configured to receive an elongated member. A locking cam is pivotally coupled to the housing and selectively engages an elongated member received in the elongated member passage. A cam spring is coupled between the housing and the locking cam to provide a relatively slight biasing force on the locking cam in a direction towards an elongated member received in the elongated member passage. A locking arm, pivotally coupled to the housing, has a first end that is configured to be coupled to a safety harness of a user and a second end that selectively engages the locking cam to lock the locking cam on an elongated member in the elongated member passage during a fall event.

Rope grab

A connector comprises a base, a gate, and a locking mechanism. The base forms an opening. The gate is slidably operatively connected to the base and spans the opening. The locking member has an engaging position and a releasing position. The engaging position secures the gate to the base, and the releasing position allows the gate to be moved relative to the base.
