A method and apparatus for a power feed drill. The power feed drill comprises a servo motor, a roller screw, a ball spline shaft, an air motor, and a collet chuck. The roller screw is rotatably mounted to the servo motor. The ball spline shaft has a first end connected to the roller screw, wherein rotation of the roller screw in a first direction moves the ball spline shaft in the first direction and wherein rotation of the roller screw in a second direction moves the ball spline shaft in an opposite direction to the first direction along an axis. The air motor is capable of transmitting rotation motion to the ball spline shaft to rotate around the axis. The collet chuck is fixably attached to a second end of the ball spline shaft, wherein the collet chuck is adapted to receive a tool.

Method and apparatus for a spindle with servo feed control

A power assist lever arm attachment includes a drill, an L-shaped drilling head carried by the drill, an arm actuation cylinder carried by the drill, an arm piston extendable from the arm actuation cylinder, a lever arm pivotally carried by the arm piston and the drilling head and a bracket-engaging arm extending from the lever arm.

A vacuum-mounted clamp for clamping a first component to a second component. The clamp includes a substantially rigid body having an application face, a back face opposite the application face, a side, and a vacuum port extending between the application face and the back face. The application face has a step adjacent the side for engaging the first component. The clamp includes a flexible seal connected to the rigid body adjacent the application face. The seal has a vacuum port in fluid communication with the vacuum port in the primary body and a periphery for contacting the second component to create a vacuum area between the clamp and the second component. The vacuum port of the body and the seal are in fluid communication with a vacuum generator for generating a vacuum in the vacuum area.

Vacuum-mounted clamp

Apparatus and methods for thrust sensing valves are disclosed. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a housing including an input port and an output port and further having a mounting portion adapted to be coupled to a manufacturing tool. A supply member is operatively coupled to the housing to provide a flow of the pressurized medium into the input port of the housing. Finally, an elongated body is operatively coupled to the housing and moveable along an axis between a first position corresponding to a first pressure output from the housing and a second position corresponding to a second pressure output from the housing. The elongated body is biased into the first position and moveable into the second position in the presence of a thrust force on the mounting portion.

Apparatus and methods for thrust sensing valves

A pneumatic motor trigger actuator includes a trigger housing adapted to engage a pneumatic motor trigger of a pneumatic tool. A top plate is coupled to the trigger housing. A primary valve is coupled to the top plate and has an open configuration and a closed configuration. The primary valve is pneumatically coupled to the trigger housing such that air flow through the primary valve, when the primary valve is in the open configuration, enters the trigger housing and causes a plug to physically engage the motor trigger with sufficient force to move it to is fully engaged position. The primary valve includes a primary switch and an automatic stop switch. The primary switch is engagable by an operator to configure the primary valve in the open configuration. The automatic switch is engagable by an object to move the primary valve to the closed configuration when a predetermined condition is met.
