A system for automatically applying retention categories and retention rules to records. The system defines a plurality of retention categories. Each retention category of the plurality of retention categories comprises a criteria for membership in the retention category and at least one retention rule for the retention category. The system receives at least one record. The system automatically associates a retention category of the plurality of retention categories with the at least one record. The at least one record meets the criteria for membership in the associated retention category. The system automatically applies the retention rule of the associated retention category to the at least one record.

Application of retention rules to records

The invention provides systems and methods for providing a unified single-scan user interface for accessing and managing a remotely located device throughout its life cycle, including cellular network provisioning, cloud data provider registration, initialization and activation, as well as providing end users with easy access to the device and its data. The end user simply powers the device on and the device automatically connects with the communication network and the cloud data provider. The device comes to the end user already provisioned and paired and activated with the cloud data provider and the communication network provider. Further, the user account, or accounts, for the use of the device is both active and recorded for billing by the various service providers supporting the device use, i.e., the communication network provider(s).

Wireless molecular sensor methods and systems integrate radio frequency (RF) technology to interrogate, power, operate and/or readout signals corresponding to levels of molecules of interest from microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) implanted within the body. Various alternative embodiments are disclosed.

Device-specific data is, at manufacture, encoded onto machine-readable labels and complied in a table within a remote database. The present invention thus allows identification and provisioning of individual devices using a mobile device such as a smartphone or the like.

Methods for embedding device-specific data to enable remote identification and provisioning of specific devices

A computer apparatus includes a computer processing unit including a processor device for operating upon data and providing data for display. The apparatus further includes a handheld input/output display unit. The display unit includes a housing sized to be grasped by a user's hand. A computer display is located within the housing at a position to allow the user to view the computer display through an eyepiece. A display driver is used for presenting data from the processing unit on the computer display. Navigational input tools are integrated with the computer display in the housing and operatively connected to provide user input to the processing unit. The navigational input tools are positioned for operation by one or more fingers of the user's grasping hand. The computer processing unit may be integrated within the housing of the handheld input/output display unit. The navigational input tools may include a mouse having a force actuated pointer and at least one button, e.g., a single button mouse or a two button mouse, or may include a three button interface.

Handheld computer apparatus

An image detection apparatus comprises a light source and a holding apparatus adapted to hold a substrate on which a biological sample may be mounted. Light from the light source impinges on the biological sample and causes light that is representative of the sample to be emitted from the sample. A light detector is positioned in the path of the emitted light and is scanned across the emitted light. The emitted light may be focused on the light detector with an optical assembly. The emitted light may be generated by chromophores on probes in the biological sample.

Scanning of biological samples

A head mounted display includes a head suspension apparatus and a display coupled thereto. In a stationary state, the display is maintained in a desired position relative to the head suspension apparatus. Further, in a release state, the display is always freely movable both vertically and horizontally relative to the head suspension apparatus. In addition, the display may also always be freely rotatable about an axis of the display as well as vertically and horizontally. The coupling of the display to the head suspension apparatus may be attained using a slide bar and hinge mechanism that forms a rigid triangular structure when the display is in the stationary state. Further, the head suspension apparatus may include an adjustable temporal support element for positioning about the circumference of a user's head and an adjustable crown support connected to the temporal support with the crown support including channels for allowing electrical connection lines to move freely therein.

Adjustable head mounted display and system

A multi-band high-speed videometric head tracking system having a gradient reflector array attached to a helmet on a person's head, ultraviolet light source emitting light which is reflected by the reflector array to a video camera which provides an image to a spot location estimator providing accurate locations of spots in the image representing the reflectors' reflecting light to image location accuracies within a pixel of the image. The location information from the spot location estimator goes to a track point 3-D location and helmet LOS estimator that provides location and orientation information to a Kalman Filter that accurately estimates and predicts the helmet position at faster rates than would be possible for a process that uses just the image-based measurements of the helmet.

Gradient reflector location sensing system

Windshear detector using Rayleigh-backscattered light and a molecular filter for optical discrimination, and frequency locking of a laser, to detect windshear. The windshear detector has a pulsed ring laser that transmits a signal out of the detector and receives reflected backscatter of the transmitted signal. The ring laser is driven with an injection laser. Both lasers are ultimately keyed to the molecular transmission or absorption filter with locking electronics. The received reflected backscatter is detected and processed into a signal that indicates whether there is windshear or turbulence.

Look-ahead windshear detector by filtered Rayleigh and/or aerosol

A hybrid filter having an inherently planar interference stack adhered to a nonplanar diffractive grating. The filter can have a planarization layer between the stack and grating. The hybrid filter has a spectral light transmittance value that is at least equal to or greater than the transmittance value of the least transmissive filter component. The filter also has a spectral bandwidth that is narrower than the spectral bandwidth of either filter component.
