A tonneau cover system includes a cover assembly coupled to first and second side rails. The cover assembly includes a cover disposed over and coupled to a frame, a latch mechanism coupled to the frame and having a catch biased toward a latch position to secure the cover to the first side rail and retractable to an unlatch position to release the cover from the first side rail, a release device coupled to the frame and latch mechanism and actuatable to move the catch to the unlatch position, and an adjustment mechanism coupled to the latch mechanism. The adjustment mechanism has a first portion coupled to the catch and a second portion interacting with the first portion to adjust a vertical position of the catch relative to the frame transverse to a width-wise axis defined between the side rails, with the first and/or second portions forming a sloped profile.

Tonneau cover system for a cargo bed of a vehicle

A tonneau cover system includes a plurality of panels coupled to first and second side rails. The panels include a first panel, a second panel, a third panel, and a spacer bar with the spacer bar fixed to the side rails. The first panel pivots relative to the spacer while the spacer remains fixed to the side rails. The third panel pivots relative to the second panel to permit the third panel to be located over the second panel while the spacer remains fixed to the side rails to define an intermediate folded position. The cover further includes a hinge assembly mounted between the second panel and the spacer to enable the second and third panels to pivot relative to the spacer as a unit from the intermediate position to a final position located at least over the spacer bar while the spacer bar remains fixed to the side rails.

A tonneau cover system for covering a space. The system includes a frame having rails. A cover is disposed over the frame for covering the space. A block, a receiver, an anchor and a latch are all coupled to the frame. A mechanism is disposed between the block and the receiver and provides adjustment to the frame by moving the receiver, the anchor and the latch as a unit between an initial adjustment position and a final adjustment position. The mechanism also provides tension to the cover when the latch is engaging the frame.

A tonneau cover system for a vehicle having a cargo box includes a striker which is adapted to be fixed to the cargo box along with a cover disposed over the cargo box when the cover is in a closed position. Moreover, the cover includes a latch mounted to the frame. The latch engages the striker when the cover is in the closed position. The cover further includes a link which extends from the latch along the frame and a handle coupled to the latch in order to move the latch into a released position which disengages the striker. Finally, the cover includes a coupler which is coupled to the handle. The coupler moves from a first position to a second position and responds to movement of the handle with the link moving relative to the frame in order to facilitate movement of the latch into the released position.

A tonneau cover for selectively enclosing a space within a cargo box. The cover has an elongate channel laterally extending between a proximate end located proximate a side edge of the cover and a distal end at which the channel terminates. The cover includes a clamp mechanism slidably engaged with the channel, and the clamp mechanism includes a handle, a block member slidably received in the channel, an elongate rod member coupled to the handle, and a latch or hook member connected to the rod member. The latch member is moveable between a clamped position for operatively engaging a portion of the cargo box and a released position for spacing the latch member from and placing the latch member out of operative engagement with the cargo box. The handle and rod member are positioned in the channel in the clamp mechanism stowed position.

A folding tonneau cover including a first substantially rigid panel having a laterally-extending front edge at least partially defined by an elongate edge rail, and a second substantially rigid panel having a laterally-extending rear edge at least partially defined by an elongate edge rail, the first and second panels having opposed exterior and interior sides. A seal is affixed to at least one of the first and second panel edge rails. When the cover is unfolded the seal extends from one of the first panel front edge and the second panel rear edge toward the other and is entirely disposed on the same side of the first pivot axis as is the plane.

At least one support bow spans the space to support the material. Clamp mechanisms are coupled to the ends of the support bow for securing the protective cover over the space. The clamp mechanisms include a latch member for engaging the wall and a handle for biasing the latch member against the wall. The clamp further includes a shaft for interconnecting the support bow to the frame. A collar is disposed over the shaft for guiding the handle and the latch member between an operational position and a stowed position along the shaft.
