Nanostructured material exhibiting a random anisotropic nanostructured surface, and exhibiting an average reflection at 60 degrees off angle less than 1 percent. The nanostructured materials are useful, for example, for optical and optoelectronic devices, displays, solar, light sensors, eye wear, camera lens, and glazing.

A variety of different implementations of waterproof headphone designs are disclosed as well as techniques for producing the same. The disclosed headphones may include one or more features which increase the buoyancy of the headphones.

Magnetic storage media that include a multilayer structure are described. In general, the magnetic storage media include a substrate, an underlayer that includes a plurality of underlayer particles formed over the substrate, and a magnetic layer that includes a plurality of magnetic particles formed over the underlayer. The magnetic layer may define a saturated magnetization and thickness product less than or equal to approximately 1.00 memu per square centimeter, and the magnetic particles may be selected from the group consisting of magnetic platelet-shaped particles and magnetic particles with an aspect ratio less than or equal to approximately 1.5. In addition, the described magnetic storage media may exhibit minimal interlayer diffusion between the underlayer and magnetic layer. Reduced interlayer diffusion between different layers of a magnetic recording medium may result in an improved magnetic recording surface for recording and storing data.

Techniques for precisely controlling the size of particles in a coating solution delivered to a coating apparatus involve continuous classification of coating particle size using a tangential flow filter assembly. The techniques may be particularly useful in the preparation of coating dispersions for manufacture of magnetic recording media. A classification technique makes use of a tangential flow filter assembly that permits delivery of coating particles below a maximum size threshold to a coating path. The filter assembly may be disposed in a circulation path that includes one or more processing devices to reduce the size of coating particles carried by a coating solution. The filter assembly enables coating particles above the maximum size threshold to be recirculated through the circulation path and subjected to repeated processing to reduce particle size to a desired size range.

The present invention provides compositions and methods of preparing a bilayer structure for encapsulating multiple containment units. These containment units can contain therapeutic, diagnostic agents or imaging agents that can be released through the bilayer structure. A suitable example of such a containment unit is a unilamellar or multilamellar vesicle.

The present invention provides a bilayer structure for encapsulating multiple containment units. These containment units can attach or contain therapeutic or diagnostic agents that can be released through the bilayer structure. A protective cover for eyeglasses is comprised of flexible material that can be folded into a compact configuration suitable for storage within a pouch. The pouch is either integrally formed within a strap for retaining eyeglasses about one's neck or is provided with rings for attachment to the strap or portions of an eyeglass frame. The flexible material comprising a cover body of the invention is tethered by a cord to the inside of the pouch so that it cannot be lost. The flexible cover body is stretchable to envelope the lens portion of eyeglasses and includes a hem around an opening in the cover body through which eyeglasses are inserted for protection therein. This hem includes an elastic band which tends to draw the cover body snugly about the eyeglass lenses.
