Examples may include routing power between a Universal Serial Bus (USB) host and a USB device. In some examples, the power may be routed from a power source at the USB device while the USB host is in a dead battery condition. Various switches at the USB host may be capable of selectively switching to route power from the power source to provide operating power to circuitry at the USB host.

Techniques to route power to a USB host in dead battery condition

An electronic apparatus may include a charger device to obtain information relating to a first battery, and to set a limit of a battery charge current of a second battery based on the obtained information.

Power delivery system

An apparatus includes voltage summation logic to provide a summed voltage corresponding to a sum of voltage contributions, each contribution associated with a corresponding port controller of a plurality of port controllers. The apparatus also includes a first port controller to determine, based on the summed voltage, whether a second power source is to be coupled to a system power bus of a system via a second port controller of the plurality of port controllers, and if not, the first port controller is to couple a first power source to the system power bus. Apparatus and methods for power conflict resolution in power delivery systems

Systems and methods may provide for a power management apparatus including a first path to be coupled to an output of a narrow voltage direct current (NVDC) charger and an input of a backlight voltage regulator (VR). The apparatus may also include a second path to be coupled to an input of the NVDC charger and the input of the backlight voltage regulator, wherein the second path is to bypass current around the NVDC charger and to the input of the backlight VR if a voltage supplied by a first power source to the NVDC charger exceeds a voltage of a second power source coupled to the output of the NVDC. In one example, the first path includes a first diode and the second path includes a second diode, wherein the first and second diodes form an OR configuration for the apparatus between the first and second paths.
