A cargo handling system is disclosed herein. The cargo handling system includes a ball panel for moving and storing cargo and a cargo restraining device disposed within the ball panel. The cargo restraining device includes a first side plate, a motor coupled to the first side plate, an outer pawl, an inner pawl configured to engage the outer pawl, and a belt drive assembly coupled to the motor and to the inner pawl, the belt drive assembly configured to engage the inner pawl to extend and retract the inner pawl.

Automatic timing belt drive cargo lock assembly

A cargo handling system is disclosed herein. The cargo handling system includes a ball panel for moving and storing cargo and a cargo restraining device disposed within the ball panel. The cargo restraining device includes a base, a cam head having a rounded base portion, the rounded base portion having a lock slot formed therein, a shaft securing the cam head to the base, and a spring-loaded lock plate configured to engage the lock slot.

Auxiliary cargo restraint assembly

A turntable assembly for a cargo bay floor including: three omni-directional wheel assemblies oriented in a triangular orientation forming a triangle with one of the three omni-directional wheel assemblies at each corner of the triangle, wherein each of the three omni-directional wheel assemblies include: an omni wheel; and a motor operably connected to the omni wheel, the motor being configured to rotate the omni wheel.

Omni directional turntable assembly

A semi-automated lock assembly is provided and includes a housing, a pawl rotatably coupled to the housing to occupy and rotate between retracted and erected positions relative to the housing and a torque generating assembly. The torque generating assembly is secured within the housing and is coupled to the pawl to apply torque assist to an erecting rotation thereof without opposing a retracting rotation thereof.
