A washing appliance includes a tub positioned within an outer cabinet. A rotating drum rotates within the tub. A fluid flow path directs fluid through the tub and the drum. A rotator selectively rotates relative to the drum to generate at least a toroidal flow of the wash fluid through the drum and a supplemental flow of the wash fluid through a filter assembly positioned within the rotator.

A laundry appliance includes a first lint filter operable between a use position and a maintenance position, a second lint filter proximate to the first lint filter, a switch operable between a first condition and a second condition, and a blower. Movement of the first lint filter from the use position to the maintenance position prompts the switch to enter the second condition from the first condition. The blower is operable to deliver process air through the first and second lint filters in the first condition of the switch and is configured to activate to deliver process air through the second lint filter based on the switch entering the second condition.

A cartridge for a laundry appliance includes an outer housing having an interior chamber therein. The outer housing includes a primary axis and a secondary axis that is perpendicular to the primary axis. A pump is contained within the outer housing that selectively delivers a laundry chemistry from the interior chamber to a dispensing outlet of the outer housing. The dispensing outlet is defined within a contoured edge of the outer housing and orients the dispensing outlet at an oblique angle with respect to the primary and secondary axes. A rotational drive is operated by an external actuator. The rotational drive is positioned within the outer housing and in operable communication with the pump. The rotational drive aligns with a drive aperture defined within a wall of the outer housing for receiving the external actuator.

The pretreat basin has an outer frame and a pivoting central portion that rotationally operates within the outer frame between a sealed position defined by the pivoting central portion being in alignment with the outer frame and a rotated position defined by the pivoting central portion being rotated out of alignment with the outer frame.

The bottom beater portion is driven by the drive shaft about an angled rotational axis that extends at an acute angle relative to the central axis of the mixing area.
