A rotating electric machine according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a rotor; a stator; an insulator; and a coil. The rotor rotates about a first axis. The stator includes teeth projecting toward the rotor. The insulator is attached to each of the teeth. The coil is wound around the insulator. The insulator includes a pair of side surface portions that are mounted on the teeth to generate a biasing force against the teeth in a twisting direction with respect to a direction of the first axis.

The rotor includes a drive shaft, a first rotor core unit, and a second rotor core unit. The first rotor core unit is configured from a first iron core material having a through-hole into which the drive shaft is inserted, and a plurality of first permanent magnets, and includes a first reference surface at which the first iron core material is flush with or protruding further than first permanent magnets. The second rotor core unit is configured from a second iron core material having a through-hole into which the drive shaft is inserted, and a plurality of second permanent magnets, and has a second reference surface at which the second iron core material is flush with or protruding further than second permanent magnets, the second rotor core unit being laminated in an axial direction on the first rotor core unit such that the first reference surface and the second reference surface contact each other.

Linear vibration actuator and mobile communication device or gaming device including the same

In a vibration motor, insulators are provided with protrusions that are positioned radially inward from extension portions, provided at an end portion of a body of a weight, and that restrict radial movement of the extension portions. In addition, in the vibration motor, the weight is supported by the protrusions of the insulators so as to prevent the weight from falling radially inward. Therefore, when using the vibration motor, the situation in which a force acting radially inward upon the weight is supported only by a weld or an adhesive is prevented from occurring, so that a gradual reduction in the securing strength of the weight does not occur. The insulators can prevent the weight from falling when assembling the vibration motor.
