A garment, in the form of an apron, holds an electrical cord out of the way. The apron includes an elongated length of material having a front panel, a rear panel, and a neck portion adapted to fit about a person's neck and a plurality of releasable fasteners for securing the cord to the elongated length of material. The length of material is adapted to cover a person's torso. The releasable fasteners may be attached to the neck portion and to the elongated length of material. Each of the fasteners may include a strap adapted to hold the cord and hook and loop type fasteners.

A buffing pad primarily for automobiles includes a foam layer and filaments of textile material interspersed throughout the foam layer and extending passed or exposed at the working surface of the pad. The filaments are needle punched through the foam layer. The filaments may be felt fiber such as wool fiber, cotton fiber, or the like.

A buffing pad that includes a substantially conventional buffing pad made of tufted wool that includes a backing plate and a central hub for attachment to the shaft of a rotary power buffer. The tufts or strands of wool are of a first and substantially equal length and of a substantially uniform color. The pad also carries a plurality of shorter tufts of wool or other fiber of a contrasting color. When the pad is relatively new, the shorter tufts are not normally visible as they are hidden by the longer tufts. As the pad becomes worn, however, the longer tufts become shorter and matted down thereby exposing the shorter tufts. The appearance of the contrasting color of the shorter tufts is an indicator that the pad is worn and should be replaced.

A buffing pad assembly having a right pad, a left pad, a disk securing the two pads together, and an elongated member for releasably attaching the buffing pad to the drive shaft of a buffing motor is disclosed. Each pad has a central aperture. The disk has a connector located in the center thereof. The connector has an opening therethrough. The right and left pads are secured to first and second faces, respectively, of the disk so that the apertures and opening are aligned when the buffing pad is assembled. The elongated member has a body, a head, and an indented area separating the head and the body. The head fits through either of the apertures and through the opening of the connector. The elongated member also has an open end which may be secured to the spindle of a buffing motor. Contained within the indented area is an O-ring which releasably secures the elongated member within the opening yet allows for the pad to be easily snapped off of the elongated member so that either side of the buffing pad may be used.
