A hybrid bucket assembly for a work vehicle having movable loader arms includes a reinforcing structure having a first edge plate, a second edge plate and at least two support members extending from the first edge plate. The reinforcing structure is for coupling the bucket assembly to the movable loader arms. The bucket assembly includes a double-wall bucket defining a volume for carrying material. The bucket is coupled to the at least two support members of the reinforcing structure, and the bucket has a leading edge coupled between the first edge plate and the second edge plate.

Hybrid load bucket assembly

A basecutter and a method for controlling a basecutter are described for a sugarcane harvester. A basecutter may include a cutting spindle, a transport spindle, at least one power source configured to rotate the cutting spindle and the transport spindle, one or more cutting blades attached to the cutting spindle, and one or more transport devices attached to the transport spindle. The cutting spindle or the transport spindle may be configured to rotate within the other. The cutting spindle and the transport spindle may be rotated at different speeds by the at least one power source. For example, a controller may determine a cutting speed for the cutting spindle and a transport speed for the transport spindle and control the at least one power source to rotate the cutting and transport spindles at the cutting and transport speeds, respectively.

Dual function basecutters

A method for heat treatment of steel and a system thereof is provided. First the steel is austenitized at a suitable temperature and then the temperature is rapidly brought down to the austempering temperature. Here the cyclic austempering is carried out between two austempering temperatures by modulating the temperature with controlled heating and cooling and the controlled temperature modulation is obtained by controlling the temperature-time profile in a batch furnace or by controlling the zone temperatures in a continuous furnace. This method of cyclic austempering reduces the austempering time, reduces the energy consumption and emissions, enhances the productivity and reduces the process cost.

Method for efficient heat treatment of steel

This invention relates to application of eco-friendly starch solution as a quenching medium for heated metal parts fabricated from steel, alloy steel, aluminum and aluminum alloys. Depending on the material grade, critical temperature and desired cooling rate, various types of starch solution can be used and the composition and concentration of the starch quenchant can be tailored to provide the required cooling characteristics for wide range of materials. In particular the starch solutions have the potential to replace quenching oil. The starch solutions are environmentally friendly, having no toxic fumes and no after usage disposal liabilities as compared to oil fumes.
