A power supply circuit includes a first and second circuits connected to a first and second phase windings of a rotary electric machine, respectively. The first circuit includes first to fourth arms and a first switch. The midpoints of the first and second arms are connected to respective ends of a first winding unit, the midpoints of the third and fourth arms are connected to respective ends of a second winding unit, and the first switch is connected between the midpoints of the second and third arms. The second circuit includes fifth to eighth arms and a second switch. The midpoints of fifth and sixth arms are connected to respective ends of a third winding unit, the midpoints of seventh and eighth arms are connected to respective ends of a fourth winding unit, and the second switch is connected between the midpoints of the sixth and seventh arm.

Power supply circuit and rotary electric machine system

To provide a system of low cost and low loss capable of the supply of electric power according to characteristics of each of a plurality of motors from a single battery. A power supply system for a vehicle of the present invention includes: a high-voltage battery; a first inverter which connects with the high-voltage battery; a motor described later which connects with the first inverter; a high-voltage DCDC converter which is connected to the high-voltage battery and steps down the voltage of the high-voltage battery; a second inverter which connects with the high-voltage battery; and a motor described later which connects with the second inverter.

Power supply system for vehicle

A power apparatus includes a drive motor, a motor shaft mechanically connected to a wheel of a vehicle, an engine, a crankshaft mechanically connected to the motor shaft and configured to output torque of the engine, a clutch disposed on a power transmission path between the crankshaft and the motor shaft, a controller configured to start-control the engine with the torque of the drive motor, and a magnetic deceleration mechanism which reduces torque of the drive motor necessary for starting the engine by magnetically reducing the rotational speed of the crankshaft during start control. When starting the engine, the controller excites the magnetic deceleration mechanism in a state where the clutch is released.

A hybrid vehicle is driven by a power unit which includes: a first rotating machine including a first rotor, a first stator, and a second rotor, wherein the number of magnetic poles generated by an armature row of the first stator and one of the first rotor and the second rotor are connected to a drive shaft; a power engine, wherein an output shaft of the power engine is connected to the other of the first rotor and the second rotor; a second rotating machine; and a capacitor. The hybrid vehicle includes: a state detector that detects a charge state of the capacitor; and a controller that controls the power unit. The controller controls the output of the power engine, based on a remaining capacity of the capacitor when driving the power engine in order to start the hybrid vehicle. Accordingly, it is possible to achieve reduction in the size and cost of the power unit and enhance the driving efficiency of the power unit.

Hybrid vehicle

A hybrid vehicle is driven by a power unit which includes: a first rotating machine including a first rotor, a first stator, and a second rotor, wherein the number of magnetic poles generated by an armature row of the first stator and one of the first rotor and the second rotor are connected to a drive shaft; a power engine, wherein an output shaft of the power engine is connected to the other of the first rotor and the second rotor; a second rotating machine; and a capacitor. A traveling mode of the hybrid vehicle includes an EV traveling mode and an ENG traveling mode, wherein the hybrid vehicle travels with a motive power from at least one of the first rotating machine and the second rotating machine in the EV traveling mode, and the hybrid vehicle travels with a motive power from the power engine in ENG traveling mode. The hybrid vehicle includes: an EV traveling mode predicting unit that predicts a switching from the ENG traveling mode to the EV traveling mode; and a controller that controls a remaining capacity of the capacitor in accordance with prediction result obtained by the EV traveling mode predicting unit so as to change a target value of the remaining capacity. Accordingly, it is possible to achieve reduction in the size and cost of the power unit and enhance the driving efficiency of the power unit.

A hybrid vehicle is driven by a power unit which includes: a first rotating machine including a first rotor, a first stator, and a second rotor, wherein the number of magnetic poles generated by an armature row of the first stator and one of the first rotor and the second rotor are connected to a drive shaft; a power engine, wherein an output shaft of the power engine is connected to the other of the first rotor and the second rotor; a second rotating machine; a capacitor; and a transformer that steps up an output voltage of the capacitor. The hybrid vehicle includes: a voltage demand calculator that calculates a voltage demand required for each of the first rotating machine and the second rotating machine in accordance with an operating condition of the hybrid vehicle; a step-up execution determining unit that allows the transformer to step up the voltage, when at least one of the voltage demand of the first rotating machine and the voltage demand of the second rotating machine is higher than a first threshold value; and a controller that controls the transformer in accordance with the result determined by the step-up execution determining unit. Accordingly, it is possible to achieve reduction in the size and cost of the power unit and enhance the driving efficiency of the power unit.

A power plant that is capable of attaining downsizing and reduction of manufacturing costs and enhancing the degree of freedom in design thereof. Further, in starting the heat engine, when the rotational speed of the output portionis not lower than a first predetermined value NEST, the heat engineis started in a state where the rotational speed of the output portionis not increased.

Power plant

A power plant which is capable of enhancing the driving efficiency and the power-generating efficiency thereof. A rotating machine includes a first rotor having a magnetic pole row that has each two adjacent magnetic poles, a stator having an armature row that is disposed in a manner opposed to the magnetic pole row, for generating a rotating magnetic field between the armature row and the magnetic pole row by a predetermined plurality of armature magnetic poles, and a second rotor having a soft magnetic material element row that is formed by a plurality of soft magnetic material elements arranged in a manner spaced from each other. The ratio between the number of the armature magnetic poles, the number of the magnetic poles, and the number of the soft magnetic material elements is set to 1:m:(1+m)/2 (m&#x2260;1.0).

To provide a power plant which makes it possible to make the power plant more compact in size, reduce manufacturing costs thereof, and improve the degree of freedom in design. The power plantcomprises an engine, and first and second rotating machinesand, and drives front wheelsby motive power from these. The first rotating machineincludes first and second rotorsand, and a stator, and is configured such that a ratio between the number of armature magnetic poles generated in the stator, the number of magnetic poles of the first rotor, and the number of soft magnetic material coresof the second rotorbecomes 1:m:(1+m)/2 (m&#x2260;1.0).

An electric motor (M) includes first and second stators (L,R) on the outside forming a rotating magnetic field, an outer rotor () disposed inside the first and second stators (L,R) and having first and second induced magnetic poles (L,R), and an inner rotor () disposed inside the outer rotor () and having first and second permanent magnet (L,R). The phases of the first and second induced magnetic poles (L,R) of the outer rotor () are displaced from each other by only half of a predetermined pitch, and the phases of the first and second permanent magnets (L,R) of the inner rotor () are displaced from each other by only the predetermined pitch. Accordingly, the first and second stators (L,R) facing the first induced magnetic poles (L) and the second induced magnetic pole (R) can be made to have the same phase and polarity, thus simplifying the structures of the first and second stators (L,R).

Magnetic machine

An accessory drive system which is capable of preventing the driving efficiency thereof from being lowered and achieving simplified construction, and reduction of the size and manufacturing costs. The system has a rotating machine including a first rotor, a second rotor, and a stator. The first rotor is formed by magnetic poles circumferentially arranged, with each two adjacent ones having different polarities. The stator has an armature row for generating a rotating magnetic pole that circumferentially rotates, between the armature and magnetic pole rows. The second rotor is formed by soft magnetic material elements circumferentially arranged with space, and disposed between the magnetic pole and armature rows. A ratio between the number of the armature magnetic poles, that of the magnetic poles, and that of the soft magnetic material elements is set to 1:m:(1+m)/2(m&#x2260;1.0).
