A motor drive system includes a battery, double-stator axial gap motors, inverter circuits configured to control power running drive and regenerative drive of the double-stator axial gap motors, step-up/step-down circuits configured to adjust at least voltage of regeneratively generated power of the double-stator axial gap motors, and one or more control devices configured to control drive of the inverter circuits and the step-up/step-down circuits. Each of the double-stator axial gap motors includes two stators. Each of the inverter circuits are connected to a respective one of the two stators. The inverter circuits are connected in series. A single step-up/step-down circuit among the step-up/step-down circuit is provided for each of the axial gap motors. The single step-up/step-down circuit provided for each of the axial gap motors is connected to one of two inverter circuits connected to the two stators among the inverter circuits.

Motor drive system

A vehicle drive system includes a battery, at least one drive motor, inverter circuits, a step-up circuit, and a switch. The inverter circuits are configured to drive the at least one drive motor. The step-up circuit is connected between the battery and the inverter circuits. The switch is configured to switch a connection state of the inverter circuits to the step-up circuit between series connection and parallel connection.

Vehicle drive system

A force sensor diagnosis apparatus performs a process of diagnosing a malfunction of a force sensor to detect external force applied to a wheel of a vehicle. The force sensor diagnosis apparatus acquires, based on a sensor signal of the force sensor, a vehicle-height direction force component detection value that is a force component in a height direction of the vehicle of external force applied to the wheel, calculates a vehicle-height direction force component estimation value on the basis of a sensor signal of a displacement sensor provided in a part of a suspension of the wheel and detects a state quantity corresponding to a stroke displacement of the suspension due to external force received by the wheel from a road surface, and performs malfunction determination of the force sensor by comparing the vehicle-height direction force component detection value and the vehicle-height direction force component estimation value.

Force sensor diagnosis apparatus, vehicle, and recording medium containing computer program

A control apparatus for a vehicle includes: a target yaw rate calculator; a primary limit yaw rate calculator; a yaw rate comparator; a secondary limit yaw rate calculator; and a vertical load controller. The target yaw rate calculator calculates a target yaw rate of the vehicle. The primary limit yaw rate calculator calculates a primary limit yaw rate on a basis of a vertical load on a wheel. The yaw rate comparator compares the target yaw rate with the primary limit yaw rate. The secondary limit yaw rate calculator calculates a secondary limit yaw rate in a case where a distribution of the vertical load on the wheel is changed in a case where the target yaw rate exceeds the primary limit yaw rate. The vertical load controller changes the vertical load on a basis of the secondary limit yaw rate.

Control apparatus for vehicle and control method for vehicle

A vehicle information calculation apparatus includes a motor torque acquisition unit, an angular acceleration acquisition unit, a contact force acquisition unit, and an inertia moment calculator. The motor torque acquisition unit acquires a torque of a motor that drives a vehicle. The angular acceleration acquisition unit acquires an angular acceleration of the motor. The contact force acquisition unit acquires a contact force of a wheel of the vehicle. The inertia moment calculator calculates an inertia moment of a rotating system of the vehicle including the wheel on the basis of the torque acquired by the motor torque acquisition unit, the angular acceleration acquired by the angular acceleration acquisition unit, the contact force acquired by the contact force acquisition unit, and a coefficient of friction between the wheel of the vehicle and a contact surface.

Vehicle control based on calculated inertia moment of vehicle wheel

A control apparatus for a vehicle includes tire-force sensors, a tire-force estimator, a turning-state detector, and a warning unit. The tire-force sensors are disposed on respective wheels of the vehicle. The tire-force estimator estimates tire forces of the respective wheels on the basis of sensor signals outputted from the respective tire-force sensors. The turning-state detector detects a turning state of the vehicle. The warning unit generates a warning in a mode that differs depending on the turning state when at least one of the wheels is estimated to be in a limit state on the basis of the estimated tire forces.

A vehicle control system includes a detector, a motor generator, a regenerative braking force estimator, and a regenerative brake controller. The detector detects a longitudinal force applied to an axle and a torque applied to the axle. The motor generator brakes the axle by a regenerative brake. The regenerative braking force estimator estimates a braking force caused by the regenerative brake by subtracting a force corresponding to the torque from the longitudinal force. The regenerative brake controller controls the regenerative brake caused by the motor generator on a basis of the estimated braking force.

Cognitive wireless communication system

A core network that includes a number of relay nodes and edge nodes, intercoupled by network links, interconnects a plurality data transfer entities through gateway elements. Each gateway element is allocated a portion of the data communicating (QoS) resource of certain of the links, and maintains information of that allocation. When a gateway receives a request for a data transfer from a data transfer entity with a particular communicating resource requirement, it will check its associated information to determine of the allocated resource is sufficient. If not, the gateway may ask for a reconfiguration of resources that re-allocate communicating resource from one gateway element to the asking gateway element.

Method and apparatus for providing a quality of service path through networks

When one-video program data (layer-coded data) of a plurality of layers is transmitted in a single channel, a video signal is layer-coded in an MPEG system, the layer-coded ES (Elementary Stream) data is converted to a PES (Packetized Elementary Stream) for each layer, and the PES is then converted to a RTP (Real-Time Protocol) packet, which is then converted to a UDP (User Datagram Protocol). An identifier is then annexed to a UDP packet data for each layer to form an IP (Internet Protocol) packet.

A TCP communication between the client Aand the remote server B is divided into two; a communication between the client Aand the communication proxy of the remote server B and a communication between the communication proxy of the remote server B and the remote server B.

Network data communication system

A network system comprises a network of data sources interconnecting plural clients by way plural network devices. A data server achieves flexibility in its use of network resources by altering the attributes of one or more network devices along the communication channels between the data server and the plural clients. This is accomplished during the normal course of data transmissions to the plural clients, thus providing real time control over the network device attribute. The invention is particularly useful in data servers, such as a video server system, in which data transmissions are characterized by a long sequence of data packets.
