Processing equipment includes a processing apparatus including a chuck table, a suction apparatus supplying a negative pressure to the chuck table, a first base that supports the processing apparatus, and a second base that supports the suction apparatus. The second base has, at a bottom part thereof, multiple leg parts that are disposed in such a manner as to penetrate through through-holes provided in the first base, without getting contact with the first base, and are each capable of extension and contraction. The second base is allowed to be supported by the first base through contracting of each of the multiple leg parts when the processing and suction apparatuses are to be conveyed. The second base stands by itself without getting contact with the first base, through extending of each of the multiple leg parts when the processing and suction apparatuses are to be installed on a floor surface.

Processing equipment

A vehicle control device for controlling a vehicle, the vehicle control device being configured to switch between automatic driving and manual driving of the vehicle, learn driving characteristics during the manual driving, and reflect a learned value of the driving characteristics in control during the automatic driving. Further, the vehicle control device controls the vehicle in a manner that, in the learned value of the driving characteristics, a state of an occupant other than a driver during the manual driving is in association with the driving characteristics.

In a driving force control device, a driving force is controlled based on an override driving force characteristic specifying a target acceleration according to a vehicle speed, an accelerator pedal position, and a traveling resistance to a vehicle, a longitudinal acceleration at a fully closed accelerator pedal position is higher in an override driving force characteristic than in a manual-driving-mode driving force characteristic, and a graph representing a relation between the accelerator pedal position and the longitudinal acceleration in the override driving force characteristic and a graph representing a relation between the accelerator pedal position and the longitudinal acceleration in the manual-driving-mode driving force characteristic intersect at a specific accelerator pedal position different from a fully closed position and a fully opened position.

Driving force control device

One array of grindstones is used for in-feed grinding and creep-feed grinding. Therefore, it is not necessary to position a chuck table that is holding a plate-shaped workpiece with respect to two different arrays of grindstones. As a result, a period of time required to grind the plate-shaped workpiece can be shortened. Furthermore, lower surfaces of the grindstones are used for the in-feed grinding, whereas side surfaces of the grindstones are used for the creep-feed grinding. Consequently, the amount by which the grindstones are worn can be smaller than that in a case where the plate-shaped workpiece is ground to a predetermined thickness in only the in-feed grinding or the creep-feed grinding.

Method of grinding plate-shaped workpiece

A fine adjustment device that is interposed between a table base rotatably supporting a chuck table for holding a workpiece on a holding surface and a base supporting the table base and that adjusts a distance between the table base and the base. The fine adjustment device includes: a support member that has an upper section and an intermediate section and a lower section, with the upper section fixed to the table base and with the intermediate section fixed to the base; an accommodating chamber formed in the support member; a piezoelectric actuator that is accommodated in the accommodating chamber and is capable of contracting and extending in a perpendicular direction; and a contraction-extension structure to have the accommodating chamber contracted and extended in the perpendicular direction.

Fine adjustment device

A drive force control system controls acceleration of a vehicle accurately in line with an operation of an accelerator pedal to improve an acceleration feel. A controller calculates a corrected target acceleration when a required acceleration is large and an operating speed of the accelerator pedal is fast, and converts the corrected target acceleration into a target driving force to propel the vehicle so as to achieve the corrected target acceleration by generating the target driving force.

An as-sliced wafer processing method includes a grinding step of grinding a first surface of an as-sliced wafer, an outer periphery positioning step of moving a chuck table and a grinding unit relative to each other in directions parallel to a holding surface of the chuck table so as to position an edge on an outer periphery of grinding stones at an outer peripheral edge of the first surface after the grinding step is carried out, and a chamfering step of chamfering an outer periphery of the first surface of the as-sliced wafer by the grinding stones after the outer periphery positioning step is carried out.

In a control device of an electric vehicle including a motor, driving wheels, a shifting device that is operated by a driver and selectively sets one of two shift positions of a traveling position that generates driving force by transmitting output torque of the motor to the driving wheels, and a non-traveling position that does not generate driving force without transmitting the output torque to the driving wheels, a controller causes the motor to output signal torque that enables the driver to sense a change in a vehicle behavior accompanied with switching of the shift position when the driver switches the shift position.

Control device and control method of electric vehicle

A vehicle control system configured to reduce physical stress on a driver to operate an accelerator pedal without reducing acceleration feel. The vehicle control system selects a first driving force property if an estimated stress on an ankle is less than a threshold value, and selects a second driving force property if the estimated stress on the ankle is greater than the threshold value to reduce the stress on the ankle. When the second driving force property is selected, a target driving force is reduced less than a target driving force calculated based on the first driving force property. In this case, the vehicle control system reduces a difference between: a ratio of acceleration to a pedal force given that the first driving force property is selected; and a ratio of acceleration to the pedal force given that the second driving force property is selected.

Semiconductor devices that include circuitry to mitigate unstable or metastable states in logic circuits in response to receipt of an unassigned row address. The semiconductor device may include one or more logic circuits that are configured to adjust particular address-based control signals to mitigate processing based on the unassigned row address. For example, the one or more logic circuits may override processing of the unassigned row address to provide control signals that correspond to an assigned row address, which may allow the semiconductor device to operate in a known state, rather than performing operations based on an unassigned row address.

A tilt adjusting mechanism provided in a processing apparatus including a chuck table having a holding surface for holding a workpiece thereon and a processing unit having a processing surface for processing the workpiece held on the chuck table, for adjusting parallelism between the holding surface and the processing surface. A hybrid vehicle in which a running mode can be appropriately shifted without making a driver feel uncomfortable or feel a sense of slowness. A hybrid vehicle includes an engine, a first motor, a second motor, and a clutch that selectively transmits power between the engine and drive wheels. A controller shifts a running mode to the parallel hybrid vehicle mode in a case of accelerating the hybrid vehicle in the electric vehicle mode, if the drive force is greater than a maximum drive force generatable in the electric vehicle mode, and also greater than a required additional drive force as a variable corresponding to a running resistance against the hybrid vehicle running on a predetermined running road at a predetermined vehicle speed by a predetermined drive force that is set in advance based on the vehicle speed and the drive force.
