A male connector () is mounted to a case (C) of a device and includes a bolt (B) with a tightening portion (B) to be engaged by a tool for screwing the bolt into a bolt hole (C). A shield () includes an insertion hole () for receiving the bolt (B) and a bolt cap () covers the tightening portion (B). A seat () is provided adjacent the insertion hole () and is sandwiched by an edge of the bolt hole (C) and the tightening portion (B) in the axial direction. A flange (B) projects out from the tightening portion (B). A mounting recess (D) is formed between the flange (B) and the seat (). A mounting portion () is mounted in the mounting recess (D) and engages the bolt cap () to hold the bolt cap () on the tightening portion (B).

Device connector and device connector system

A male connector () has a male terminal fitting () mounted in a male housing (A). The male housing (A) has tube () surrounding the male terminal fitting (). The tube () is spaced out from a conductive part () of the male terminal fitting () by a distance so that a finger cannot be inserted between the tube () and the male terminal fitting (). A fit-on part () of a female connector () can be inserted between the tube () and the male terminal fitting () so that a female terminal fitting () can contact the conductive part () of the male terminal fitting (). An insulating coating () is formed on a front end of the male terminal fitting () by molding a resin to prevent shocks.

Male connector and connector apparatus

A shielding connector apparatus includes an equipment-side shielding connector () with an equipment-side shielding housing () and an electric wire-side shielding connector () with an electric wire-side shielding housing (). A connector fit-on nut () is formed on the equipment-side shielding housing (). The electric wire-side shielding housing () has a fit-on bolt () that is screwed into the connector fit-on nut () to fit both shielding connectors together. An equipment-side contact surface () is formed on the equipment-side shielding housing (). An electric wire-side contact surface () is formed on the electric wire-side shielding housing ().

Shielding connector apparatus

A shielding connector has a housing () accommodating female terminals () connected to electric wires (). The housing () is inserted in a die cast tubular shielding shell (). An elastic locking piece () is provided on the housing () and locks an open edge () of the shielding shell () to prevent removal of the housing () that has been mounted properly in the housing (). A retainer () is mounted on the housing () from the rear and prevents the elastic locking piece () from flexibly displacing in an unlocking direction. An open end (A) of a braided wire () is placed on a mounting groove () formed on the shielding shell () and is fixed to the mounting groove () with a tightening band () whose diameter can be decreased with a tool.

Shielding connector and wire harness

A connector has first and second housings (A,A) that can be fit together along a fit-on direction. A female terminal () is mounted in a cavity () of a first housing (A). A lance () is formed inside the first housing (A) and locks the female terminal () in the cavity (). The lance () can deform elastically in the flexibility allowance space () to unlock the female terminal (). A retainer projection () is provided in a second housing (A) and projects along a fit-in direction of the first and second housings (A,A). The retainer projection () penetrates into the flexibility allowance space () as the first and second housings (A,A) are fit together to prevent the lance () from flexing in an unlocking direction.

A shielding connector has shielding electric wires () and a terminal fitting () mounted on an end of each of the shielding electric wires (). The connector also has a housing () made of synthetic resin and configured to fit in a mounting hole () in a case (). Terminal insertion chambers () are provided inside the housing () and receive the terminal fittings (). A rubber stopper () is fitted on an entrance () of each of the terminal insertion chambers (). A metal shielding shell () is mounted to cover a rear surface of the housing () and has a mounting plate () to be fixed to the case (). Connection tubes () project on a rear surface of the shielding shell () and communicate with the terminal insertion chambers (). Braided wires () of the shielding electric wires () can be connected the connection tubes ().

Shielding connector

The shield shell is formed of a shield shell main body, a shield shell auxiliary member and a fixing member. The shield shell main body is made of die-cast aluminum. The shield shell auxiliary member is formed by pressing a steel plate, and has a surface plated with gold. The fixing member has a ring shape, which is formed by pressing a steel plate. With this configuration, it is possible to provide a shield shell that can be manufactured at a low cost, that can improve reliability of the shielding effect, and that can improve assembling workability of the shielded wire.

Shield shell

Power feed terminals () are held in movable side housings (), and intermediate terminals () are held in a waiting side housing (). Each intermediate terminal () includes a power-feed side contact () and a motor side contact (). A connection surface (BS) of the waiting side housing () is exposed at the outer surface of a motor casing (), and the power-feed side contacts () of the intermediate terminals () are exposed in the connection surface (BS) of the waiting side housing (). By connecting the housings (), contacts () of the power feed terminals () are placed on the power-feed side contact portions () and bolts () are inserted through these contacts placed one over the other to fix the terminals () together.
