An in-wheel motor unit provided in a wheel of a wheel unit, includes: a motor having a rotor disposed on a radially outer side of a stator; a brake disposed on an inner side of the motor; and a housing that accommodates the motor and the brake. Further, the housing has a cylindrical partition that radially partitions a space for accommodating the motor and a space for accommodating the brake, the stator is fixed to an outer peripheral surface of the partition, and the brake is disposed on an inner peripheral side of the partition, and a fixing portion included in the brake is fixed to the housing.

A cooling system includes a first cooling passage in which a first cooling object is cooled by first coolant, a flow passage that supplies the first coolant to a second cooling object from the first cooling passage, a flow rate regulation mechanism that regulates a flow rate of the first coolant flowing in the first cooling passage, and a controller that controls the flow rate regulation mechanism. The controller controls the flow rate regulation mechanism so that the flow rate of the first coolant flowing in the first cooling passage is lower when temperature of the first cooling object is lower than temperature of the first coolant, than the flow rate when the temperature of the first cooling object is equal to or higher than the temperature of the first coolant.

A seal structure of a drive device is provided which includes a case in which a motor chamber for accommodating an electric motor and a gear chamber for accommodating a gear mechanism are located adjacent to each other, a partition that separates the motor chamber and the gear chamber, a bearing that supports a rotating shaft, a seal part that seals between the rotating shaft and the partition, a lubricating oil that lubricates the gear mechanism, and a coolant that cools the electric motor, and also includes a first bearing on the motor chamber side, a second bearing on the gear chamber side, a first seal part on the motor chamber side, a second seal part on the gear chamber side, and at least the second seal part of the first seal part and the second seal part is provided between the first bearing and the second bearing.

Seal structure of drive device

A battery cooling system includes: a cooling circuit; a power transmission device disposed in the cooling circuit, the power transmission device including a gear; a drivetrain oil having an electric insulating property and being used for lubrication of the gear, the drivetrain oil circulating in the cooling circuit; a battery unit disposed in the cooling circuit, the battery unit including a module case that houses a plurality of battery cells; a pump disposed in the cooling circuit; and a radiator disposed in the cooling circuit, the radiator releasing heat from the drivetrain oil flowing in the cooling circuit. The drivetrain oil performs direct heat exchange inside the power transmission device and flows through an inside of the module case and performs direct heat exchange with the battery cells.

Battery cooling system

A cooling system for a powertrain includes: a rotating electrical machine unit including a rotating electrical machine; and a power control unit configured to drive the rotating electrical machine. The cooling system includes: a radiator configured to cool a refrigerant; a refrigerant circulation circuit configured to supply the refrigerant flowing out from the radiator to a second cooled portion via a first cooled portion; a bypass flow path bypassing the second cooled portion; a flow control valve configured to adjust the ratio of a second refrigerant flow rate to a first refrigerant flow rate; and a control device configured to control the flow control valve. The control mode of the flow control valve includes a flow rate limiting mode in which the flow control valve is controlled to adjust the ratio such that the second refrigerant flow rate becomes less than the first refrigerant flow rate.

Control system

There are provided in-wheel motors lubricated with an oil; a cooling medium circuit in which a cooling medium flows; a cooling device cooling the cooling medium; heat exchangers carrying out heat exchange between the cooling medium and the oil after lubricating the in-wheel motors; and at least one of a controller including an inverter and a battery that can be cooled by the cooling medium flowing through the cooling medium circuit, and the cooling medium circuit has such a configuration that circulates the cooling medium through the cooling device, at least one of the controller and the battery, and the heat exchangers in turn.

Vehicle

A heat exchange system for a vehicle including a battery, an electric motor, and a transmission system is provided. The heat exchange system includes a heat pump, and a heat exchanger. The heat pump is used for air conditioning. The heat pump includes an electric compressor that compresses a refrigerant. The electric compressor is configured to be driven with electric power from the battery. The heat exchanger is configured to exchange heat between the refrigerant and lubricating oil that lubricates the transmission system.

Heat exchange system for vehicle

A coolant passage of a vehicular cooling system includes a battery coolant passage through which a coolant is supplied from a radiator to a battery, a discharge coolant passage through which the coolant is supplied to the radiator, a first bypass passage through which the coolant is supplied from the discharge coolant passage to the battery coolant passage while bypassing the radiator, and a switching valve that switches a pathway of the coolant, between a first pathway through which the coolant is supplied from the discharge coolant passage to the battery coolant passage via the radiator and a second pathway through which the coolant is supplied from the discharge coolant passage to the battery coolant passage via the first bypass passage. An electronic control unit controls the switching valve such that the pathway is switched to the second pathway at the time of increasing a temperature of the battery.

Vehicular cooling system

A heat exchanger for a vehicle is mounted in a vehicle having a power train through which an engine coolant, an engine oil and a transmission oil flow and in which a flow rate of the engine oil and a flow rate of the transmission oil are different from each other. A first flow passage for causing the engine coolant to flow, a second flow passage for causing the engine oil to flow, and a third flow passage for causing the transmission oil to flow are formed through lamination of a plurality of plates. The heat exchanger includes a region where the first flow passage is adjacent only to that one of the second flow passage and the third flow passage through which a fluid flows at lower flow rate.

Heat exchanger for vehicle

A power train includes: an engine including an engine case; a transmission including a transmission case that is fastened to the engine case; an electric motor provided inside the transmission case; and a heat insulator provided between the engine case and the transmission case, and being lower than thermal conductivity of the engine case and thermal conductivity of the transmission case.

Power train

A lubrication control device for a transmission includes an oil pump, a heat exchanger, an oil quantity control valve, a first bypass oil passage, and an electronic control unit. The heat exchanger is connected between the oil pump and a lubricated portion of the transmission. The oil quantity control valve includes an inflow port, a supply port, and a discharge port. The supply port is connected to the heat exchanger. The oil quantity control valve is configured to control a supply oil quantity as a flow rate of the oil flowing from the inflow port to the supply port and discharge a residue of the oil from the discharge port. The first bypass oil passage is connected to the discharge port. The electronic control unit is configured to adjust the oil quantity control valve such that the supply oil quantity increases as a temperature of the oil increases.

Lubrication control device for transmission

A heat exchanger includes: a first flow passage where first liquid flows; a second flow passage where second liquid flows; and a heat exchanger main body configured to exchange heat between the first liquid and the second liquid. The heat exchanger main body includes a cross-sectional area adjuster configured to change a flow passage cross-sectional area of at least one of the first flow passage and the second flow passage by thermal deformation. The cross-sectional area adjuster adjusts a value of the flow passage cross-sectional area in a low temperature range to be larger than a value of the flow passage cross-sectional area in a high temperature range.

Heat exchanger

A lubrication structure includes a liquid drop splashing device and an electret portion. The liquid drop splashing device is configured to turn a lubricating liquid for lubricating machine-element components into liquid drops. The liquid drop splashing device is configured to splash the lubricating liquid turned into the liquid drops. The machine-element components configure contact parts. Each contact part is a part where corresponding adjacent machine-element components come into contact with each other. An electret portion is provided to a vicinity of each contact part. The electret portion is composed of an electret.

Lubrication structure and transmission

There is provided a cooling structure whose performance for cooling ring members and brushes is enhanced. In a cooling structure applied to a slip ring device including ring members provided to an input shaft and brushes contacting with these ring members, the input shaft includes a shaft member where an external spline portion is formed, and a cylindrical member that is installed over the external circumference of the shaft member so that an internal spline portion formed on the cylindrical member is meshed with the external spline portion, and that the ring members are fixed to the cylindrical member. The internal spline portion is formed upon a portion of the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical member that lies on the radially inward side of the ring members.
