A linear sensorincludes an attachment baseattached to a metallic edge of a slide doorcapable of opening and closing a platform, a skin cover partwhich bulges from the attachment baseand has a hollow partin the inside, an insulatorwhich has flexibility and also is embedded in the hollow part, and a plate-shaped electrodeopposed to the attachment base, at least a portion of the electrode being embedded in the insulator. In the hollow part, a gapis disposed between the electrodeand the attachment baseand also, the electrodeis set in a plus pole and the attachment baseis set in a minus pole as the grounding, and proximity and/or contact between a foreign body and the skin cover partis detected based on a change in capacitance between the electrodeand the grounding minus pole.

Linear sensor

A sub-lip is provided on an interior side wall portion of a main body having a U-shaped cross section in a vertical section of a glass run. The sub-lip extends from the interior side wall portion of the main body while inclined towards an inner side of a glass opening. A projecting length of the sub-lip is set such that a distal end portion of the sub-lip is brought into contact with a back surface of an interior seal lip when a door glass is inserted into an inner space of the main body.

Glass run

A weather strip includes a trim portion that is a substantially U-shaped, that is mounted on a flange portion provided along a door opening circumference portion of a vehicle, and that is equipped with a vehicle outer-sided side wall portion, a vehicle inner-sided side wall portion, and a coupling portion for coupling the side wall portions to each other, and a seal portion including a hollow portion. The seal portion includes a first elongated portion which is elongated to a vehicle outer side from a portion located in a vicinity of a boundary portion between the seal portion and the coupling portion of the vehicle outer-sided side wall portion, a second elongated portion which is elongated to a vehicle outer side from a portion located in a vicinity of a tip portion of the vehicle outer-sided side wall portion, and an expanded portion having substantially an arc shape.

Weather strip

An automobile weather strip has a trim part having a substantially U-shaped section and a sealing part. The automobile weather strip is characterized in that: the trim part has an insert member and a covering material for covering the insert member; the covering member is provided with holding lips for holding a flange part on an inner surface of the trim part; a sponge material of a rubber formed by using a blend material of an EPDM rubber and an olefin-based thermoplastic synthetic resin and a sponge material of a rubber having physical properties of a specific gravity of 0.6 to 0.8 and a 25%-stretching stress of 500 KPa or more are used as the covering material.

Automobile weather strip

A weather strip has a trim portion and a seal portion. The trim portion has a vehicle interior side wall, a vehicle exterior side wall, and a connecting portion. A metal insert is embedded in the trim portion. The insert has piece portions and a center bond portion which connects the piece portions to one another. The thickness of each of parts of the insert, which are other than both curved parts, is set to be thinner than the thickness of each of both the curved parts. Thus, the thickness of the insert, except for the curved parts, is small. Consequently, the entire insert, thus, the entire weather strip can be lightened. On the other hand, both the curved parts are relatively thick. Accordingly, the weather strip can assure predetermined strength and stiffness and can easily maintain an initial shape.

A vehicle door includes a glass run which corresponds to an outer peripheral configuration of a door glass. The glass run includes a body portion which is provided with a bottom wall portion and an interior side wall portion and an exterior side wall portion which extend from both edges of the bottom wall portion, respectively, and a pair or seal lips which establish seals between the door glass and themselves. Furthermore, with respect to a direction towards an inside or outside of a door frame, a foot portion of the exterior seal lip is positioned further on the outer peripheral side than an inner-peripheral edge portion of a molding member.

Glass run mounting structure

A glass run for use in a motor vehicle includes an outside wall, an inside wall and a bottom wall and has a generally U-shaped cross-section. An outside seal lip and an inside seal lip respectively project from open ends of the outside wall and the inside wall to extend into an interior of the glass run. An outside cover lip and an inside cover lip respectively project from the open ends of the outside wall and the inside wall for covering an outside end and an inside end of the door frame. And a corner part of the glass run, which is adapted to be attached to a corner of the door frame, has a lip extension along a projecting end of the outside cover lip for covering a joint between an upper frame and a vertical frame of the door frame.

Glass run for motor vehicle

An opening trim weather strip includes a trim portion, a seal portion, and a cover lip integrally formed to the trim portion and extended to a vehicle interior side thereof. The cover lip is formed with a cover lip main body by a sponge member and formed with a cover lip skin layer formed by a solid member at a surface of the cover lip main body. A modulus of the cover lip skin layer is made to be equal to or smaller than a modulus of the cover lip main body.

Opening trim weather strip

An automobile door has a glass run corresponding to a glass door. The glass run includes a body portion, which has a bottom wall portion, and a vehicle interior side wall portion and a vehicle exterior side wall portion respectively extending from opposite ends of the bottom wall portion, and also includes a pair of seal lips which performs sealing between the door glass and the glass run. Furthermore, in a cross-sectionally substantially-U-shaped outer peripheral portion of the body portion, sponge rubber layers are provided in a predetermined range in a longitudinal direction of a cross-section of the vehicle interior side surface wall portion and a predetermined zone including a continuously connecting portion between the bottom wall portion and the inner outer side surface wall portion, respectively. An auxiliary lip is provided at a continuously connecting portion between the bottom wall portion and the vehicle interior side wall portion. Additionally, a sponge rubber layer is formed on a door glass facing surface of the bottom wall portion.

A fuel cap where a valve body held to a valve support plate for performing pressure adjustment is arranged in a cap body installed to a filler neck of a fuel tank, and the part number can be decreased. The valve body has an outer circumferential lip element which is projected from an outer circumferential edge and pressed against an annular projection projecting inward in a fluid flow path of the cap body, and an inner circumferential lip element which is projected from an inner circumferential edge in reverse direction to the outer circumferential lip element. The valve support plate supports the valve body from rear side of the outer circumferential lip element, and has a seal member against which the inner circumferential lip element is pressed from the support position to inner circumferential side. Biasing means for pressing the outer circumferential lip element of the valve body is connected to the valve support plate. At the outside of the seal member in the valve body or the valve support plate, a communication hole which performs communication of the atmosphere side with the fluid flow path of the cap body is formed when the inner lip element is separated from the seal member.

Fuel cap

A fuel cap comprises a cap body, a flange member projecting outward in radial direction on upper side of the cap body, and a weak portion which is easily broken and provided at the flange member and enables separation of the flange member from the cap body. The weak portion is formed by a plurality of V-like grooves at upper surface side which are formed on the upper surface of the flange member in concentric relation and a plurality of V-like grooves at lower surface side which are formed on the lower surface of the flange member in concentric relation and adjacent to the V-like grooves at upper surface side.

A valve body made of a rubbery elastic material comprising a securing portion which is held by a securing member, and a lip portion which extends from the securing portion and which abuts against a portion to be sealed, which portion to be sealed opposes the securing member. The valve body has an annular recess formed in the base of the lip portion on the side which faces the securing portion or on the side which is opposite to a tip portion thereof. The valve body is so constituted that the gap which starts from the securing portion to the edge of the lip portion is formed on the reverse side of the lip portion when the annular recess is disposed around the lip portion on the side facing the securing portion.

Valve body

A cap with valve for positive pressure comprises a cap body installed to an aperture of a container such as a fuel tank or a radiator of an automobile, a partition wall formed within the cap body and extending from an inner circumferential surface in radial direction and having a first fluid flowing hole, and a valve for positive pressure disposed at upper side of the partition wall. A support plate is disposed at lower side of the partition wall within the cap body and provided with a second fluid flowing hole, and an auxiliary valve chamber is formed between the partition wall and the support plate. Within the auxiliary valve chamber, a stopper valve having specific gravity larger than that of liquid within the container and a float having specific gravity of the combined body with the stopper valve smaller than that of the liquid within the container are arranged at lower side of the first fluid flowing hole and movable up and down. When the container is reversed in upper and lower positions, the stopper valve is moved by own weight towards the partition wall thereby the first fluid flowing hole is closed. Also when the liquid level within the container rises, both the stopper valve and the float are floated, and the first fluid flowing hole is closed by the stopper valve. Consequently, the liquid within the container is prevented from passing through the first fluid flowing hole and flowing out of the container.

Cap with valve for positive pressure

In a cap with valve, an annular projection is formed at an inner circumference of a fluid flow path of a cap body to be installed at an opening portion of a container. A valve body is an annular body and provided with an inner circumferential lip element projecting upward at inner circumferential edge and an outer circumferential lip element projecting downward at outer circumferential edge, and the outer circumferential lip element abuts on the annular projection of the cap body. A first disk-shaped support plate is arranged at upper side of the valve body and provided with a support member supporting the upper surface side of the outer circumferential lip element. The first support plate is biased downward by a first spring means from upper side. A second support plate is arranged at lower side of the valve body and provided with a support member supporting the lower surface side of the inner circumferential lip element and with a fluid flowing hole at the center. The second support plate is biased upward by a second spring means. The first support plate is provided with a fluid flowing hole penetrating vertically between the support member and the seal member on which the inner circumferential lip element of the valve body abuts.

Cap with valve

A cap with valve has a fluid flowing hole formed within a cylindrical cap body installed in an aperture of a container. A valve body is installed within the cap body and has a seal lip opened in an umbrella-like shape which is inserted in the fluid flowing hole and pressed against the periphery of the fluid flowing hole at the rear side in the inserting direction so as to close the fluid flowing hole. The valve body is held by a support plate having rigidity installed within the cap body, and is urged by a biasing means installed within the cap body for urging the support plate so that the valve body is inserted in the fluid flowing hole. A stopper is formed on the support plate and abuts on the cap body and restricts moving of the valve body so that the valve body together with the support plate is prevented from being subjected to pressure beyond a prescribed value to move it further in the inserting direction towards the fluid flowing hole.
