A particle collecting device includes a vent pipe having a channel space through which air flows, a first air blower that delivers air including a particle at a first end of the vent pipe into the channel space, a collector that is disposed to block a channel in the channel space at an intermediate part of the vent pipe and that collects the particle included in the air delivered by the first air blower, and a second air blower that collects the air traveling through the collector at a second end of the vent pipe and that delivers the air outward from the channel space. The first and second air blowers operate such that a first pressure in a first channel space extending from the first air blower to the collector and a second pressure in a second channel space extending from the collector to the second air blower are maintained to have a relationship in which the second pressure&#x3c;the first pressure&#x2264;atmospheric pressure. The first and second channel spaces are included in the channel space of the vent pipe.

Particle collecting device and image forming apparatus

A gas purification device includes an inflow port provided in an upper part of the gas purification device in a gravitational direction so that gas flows therein, a removing member that removes powder contained in the gas when the gas passes through the removing member, the removing member being disposed at a position such as not to overlap with the inflow port when viewed from above in the gravitational direction, and an outflow port provided in a lower part of the gas purification device in the gravitational direction so that the gas flows out therefrom after passing through the removing member.

Gas purification device and image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, an image holding member, at least one image forming unit, a recording medium container, a plate-shaped separator, and an air blowing device. The at least one image forming unit forms an image on the image holding member. The recording medium container contains a recording medium to be fed to the at least one image forming unit. The separator has an opening, is adjacent to the at least one image forming unit in the apparatus body, and separates the at least one image forming unit and the recording medium container from each other. The air blowing device is disposed at the opening provided in the separator. An adjacent space in which the recording medium container is disposed is provided. The air blowing device blows air from the adjacent space toward the at least one image forming unit.

Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes an air blowing device, an apparatus body, and at least one developer container that has an outer periphery, that is disposed in the apparatus body, and that contains developer. The image forming apparatus has a first transport path that allows a recording medium having undergone heat fixing is transported therethrough and a second transport path that extends in a different direction from a direction of the first transport path and that allows the recording medium to be transported along the outer periphery of the at least one developer container. A space is formed between the at least one developer container and the second transport path. The air blowing device is disposed between the first transport path and the at least one developer container, causes air to flow through the space so as to blow the air toward the first transport path.

Image forming apparatus with internal airflow

A cleaning device includes a cleaning member that includes a cleaning portion that cleans a light transmission member, which has a substantially elongated shape and which transmits light, and a support portion that supports the cleaning portion and a wall portion that is disposed on one end side of the light transmission member in a longitudinal direction of the light transmission member and that has a surface that is formed along a direction that intersects the longitudinal direction of the light transmission member. The cleaning member and the wall portion each have a configuration in which when an end of the cleaning member makes contact with the wall portion and is pressed, the support portion is bent in a convex manner toward a side opposite to a side on which the light transmission member is disposed.

Cleaning device, device to be cleaned, cleaning member, and image forming apparatus

A removal mechanism includes a removing member, an accommodation section, a receiver, and a cooling path. The removing member rubs against an extraneous-matter-adhered member, to which extraneous matter is adhered, so as to remove the extraneous matter therefrom. The accommodation section accommodates therein the extraneous matter removed by the removing member. The receiver receives, at a lower side of the accommodation section, the extraneous matter spilling out and dropping from the accommodation section. The cooling path allows gas so flow therethrough so as to cool the accommodation section from outside thereof. The cooling path is spatially isolated from a passage chamber through which the extraneous matter dropping from the accommodation section toward the receiver passes, an accommodation chamber for the extraneous matter in the accommodation section, and a chamber above the receiver that receives the extraneous matter.

Removal mechanism and image forming apparatus

A drawer member that is capable of being drawn out from an image forming apparatus body and that includes a fixing unit that heats and fixes an image onto a recording medium, a first flow path that is formed around the fixing unit and that causes air that is heated by heat, which is discharged from the fixing unit, to circulate, and a second flow path that is formed adjacent to the first flow path on a side opposite to the fixing unit and in which air having a temperature lower than a temperature of air, which circulates in the first flow path, circulates.
