The solar charging system according to the present embodiment includes a solar panel, a drive battery, an auxiliary system including one or more devices, and a controller that controls where to supply power generated by the solar panel. The controller determines whether the solar panel can generate power, and, upon determining that the solar panel can generate power, supplies the power from the solar panel to the auxiliary system to derive the power generated by the solar panel. Upon detecting a fact that the power generated by the solar panel is equal to or greater than a first power, the controller further supplies the power from the solar panel to the drive battery to charge the drive battery.

A vehicular charging control system using a solar panel includes: a first battery; a calculation unit that calculates a chargeable electric power amount (an amount of electric power with which the first battery can be charged until the SOC of the first battery reaches a predetermined value); a determination unit that determines whether regenerative electric power is being generated; and a control unit that controls charging of the first battery with electric power generated by the solar panel. The control unit allows the first battery to be charged with the electric power generated by the solar panel up to an upper limit set to the chargeable electric power amount when regenerative electric power is not being generated, and up to an upper limit set to an electric power amount obtained by subtracting the regenerative electric power amount from the chargeable electric power amount when regenerative electric power is being generated.

Each micro-computer includes: a first mode determination device determining whether to operate in an on-board mode when the power source starts to supply the electric power; and a second mode determination device determining whether to operate in the reprogramming mode. The always-on power supply system micro-computer includes a first transition device that detects a change in a power supply state of the not-always-on power supply system micro-computer. The first transition device switches a processing to a determination executed by the first mode determination device when the power supply state has changed.
