A vehicle front portion structure includes a front side member rear extending in a front-rear direction of a vehicle, a part of a front side of the front side member rear being an inclined portion inclined such that a position of the inclined portion rises toward a front side of the vehicle, and a tubular front side member fixed to the inclined portion of the front side member rear and extending from the inclined portion to the front side of the vehicle. A plate-shaped reinforcing member is fixed to an inner peripheral surface of the front side member, the reinforcing member is provided with an extending portion extending to a rear side of the vehicle behind a rear end of the front side member, and the extending portion is fixed to the front side member rear.

When a vehicle is switched from a two-wheel-drive mode to a four-wheel-drive mode during turning, rotation of a Rr dog clutch is synchronized by a synchro mechanism. Rotation of a Fr dog clutch is synchronized, by controlling coupling torque of a control coupling that transmits power to a rear wheel that provides an outer wheel during turning. Thus, rotation of the Fr dog clutch is also synchronized, so that shock at the time of engagement of the Fr dog clutch can be suppressed.

Control device of vehicular four-wheel drive system

A rotation state of each rotating element of a four-wheel drive vehicle and an operating state of each engagement element of a disconnect mechanism, corresponding to an operating state of the disconnect mechanism, are displayed on or near a vehicle model image on a vehicle display. Vehicle braking apparatus

When a normal braking is performed, a master cylinder ( ) and wheel cylinders ( FR, FL, RR, RL) are set to a conducting state. When an emergency braking is performed, the master cylinder and the wheel cylinders are joined together so that a large brake force can be generated. If the wheel cylinders are connected to an accumulator soon after the emergency braking, an increase in the wheel cylinder pressure can be prevented. Even after the emergency braking, the wheel cylinders and the master cylinder are maintained in the conducting state while the master cylinder pressure is rapidly increasing.

A vehicular brake control apparatus performs braking force limiting control for limiting, if the vehicle is in a predetermined driving state, braking forces applied to rear wheels of the vehicle in comparison with the braking forces applied to the front wheels. If it is judged during the braking force limiting control that the amount of braking operation by the driver has increased, the apparatus increases the braking forces applied to the rear wheels.

Vehicular brake control apparatus and vehicular brake control method

A braking force controlling apparatus changes a magnitude of a braking force produced by a braking operation based on a speed of the braking operation. The braking force controlling apparatus is directed to maintaining a brake-assisting control even when a beginner unintentionally releases a braking operation force on a brake pedal. A hydraulic pressure sensor ( ) detects a master cylinder pressure, and a maximum master cylinder pressure during the braking operation of the brake pedal ( ) is stored in an ECU ( ). When the master cylinder pressure is found to be below a release-judgment level of the master cylinder pressure, which is determined based on the maximum master cylinder pressure, the brake-assisting control is terminated. When the master cylinder pressure is found to be above the release-judgment level, the brake-assisting control is maintained.

Braking force controlling apparatus

A brake force control apparatus which can always accurately generate a brake force confirming to a driver's intention is provided. The brake force control apparatus performs brake assist control for supplying an increased brake fluid pressure which is greater than that generated in a regular brake operation to a wheel cylinder of a vehicle when an emergency brake operation is performed by a driver. A deceleration of the vehicle is detected. Additionally, a difference between a target deceleration which is to be generated during execution of the brake assist control and the deceleration is detected. A brake fluid pressure which is supplied to the wheel cylinder during execution of the brake assist control is controlled based on the difference.

In a braking force control apparatus for realizing both of a BA control for generating a great braking force when an emergency braking operation is executed and an ABS control for restricting a slip ratio of a wheel, an interference between the BA control and the ABS control is prevented. It is determined whether or not the ABS control is executed with respect to at least one of front wheels (step,) when it is determined that the BA control is started. In the case that the ABS control is executed with respect to at least one of the front wheels, it is determined that a large amount of hydraulic pressure is fed to a wheel cylinder of a rear wheel at the same time when the BA control is started, thereby starting a BA slope restricting control for restricting an inlet thereof (step,). In the case that the ABS control is not executed in the front wheel, a normal BA control is started (step,).

Braking force control apparatus

A brake force control apparatus generates a brake force to which a driver's intention is reflected when an emergency brake operation is performed by the driver. The brake force control apparatus generates an increased brake fluid pressure which is greater than that generated in a regular brake operation when an emergency brake operation is performed by the driver. A brake operating speed is detected. Execution of an emergency brake operation is detected based on the brake operating speed. The increased brake fluid pressure is generated by adding an assist pressure corresponding to the brake operating speed generated in a process of the emergency brake operation, when the emergency brake operation is detected.

A normal control in which a master cylinder,is used as a hydraulic source to increase a wheel cylinder pressure and a brake assist control in which a pump,and an accumulator,are used as the hydraulic source the wheel cylinder pressure is increased in a state where communication between the master cylinder,and the wheel cylinder,** is intercepted are executed. When a termination request for the brake assist control occurs, first, the wheel cylinder pressure decreased. After the wheel cylinder pressure is decreased enough, communication between the wheel cylinder,** and the master cylinder,is restored.

This relates to a brake force control apparatus that executes a brake assist control, which generates, when a driver performs an emergency braking, a brake force greater than that generated at a normal time. The brake force control apparatus is inhibited from being unnecessarily executed at the time of traveling a rough road or passing a step. When it is determined, based on an operation of a brake pedal, that an emergency braking is performed, it is determined whether the road on which the vehicle is traveling is a rough road (step 114). If the road is not rough, it is further determined whether the vehicle is passing a step (step 116). The brake assist control is executed only when it is determined that the vehicle is not passing a step (steps 118-126).
