The present invention provides a composition for filling the nucleus pulposus of an intervertebral disc, the composition containing a low endotoxin monovalent metal salt of alginic acid. The composition is applied to a nucleus pulposus site of a subject, is used so as to be cured partially after application, and has fluidity when applied to the nucleus pulposus site. Accordingly, a composition for filling nucleus pulposus is provided, the composition being capable of promoting the regeneration of the nucleus pulposus of an intervertebral disc.

An adhesion-preventing material including a sterilized biocompatible sponge-like laminate, wherein the sponge-like laminate comprises a sponge-like first layer and a sponge-like second layer each of which is at least partially crosslinked with a curing agent and comprises a low-endotoxin alginic acid monovalent metal salt, the alginic acid monovalent metal salt in the first layer has a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 to 2,000,000, the alginic acid monovalent metal salt in the second layer has a weight average molecular weight of 1,000 to 1,000,000, the weight average molecular weights are measured by a GPC-MALS method after a decrosslinking treatment, and the weight average molecular weight of the alginic acid monovalent metal salt in the first layer is higher than that in the second layer.

Before the first recording material leading edge reaches the nip portion, the control unit changes the first recording material conveyance speed to a first speed, slower than the second speed, based on when the fed first recording material leading edge is detected. A mammography apparatus includes a detector that detects X-rays transmitted through a breast, and an optically transparent or semitransparent pressing panel for pressing the breast. The apparatus further includes a near infrared ray source that provided between the X-ray source and the pressing panel and arranged in a two-dimensional shape in alignment with the pressing panel, and that is movable between a first position in close contact with the pressing panel and a second position outside an X-ray image capture region. Near infrared image capture is carried out using the near infrared ray source by causing the near infrared ray source to be in the first position, and the near infrared ray source is caused to retract to the second position when carrying out X-ray image capture using the X-ray source.

An X-ray imaging apparatus is provided with a multi X-ray source and a collimator in which a plurality of slits for X-rays to pass through are two-dimensionally formed, the size and position of the slits being adjustable. X-ray imaging apparatus

When the frequency bandwidth of a high frequency signal to be amplified is changed, the linearity of a high frequency module deteriorates. A high frequency module has an amplifier circuit including an amplification transistor and a variable impedance circuit, and an output matching network. Based on an amplifying operation, the amplified high frequency signal will contain unwanted signals of secondary distortion components. In a frequency band that generates such unwanted signals of secondary distortion components, the output impedance of the amplifier circuit is changed so that the impedance will not match between the amplifier circuit and the output matching network. The output impedance of the amplifier circuit is changed by controlling the variable impedance circuit.
