There is provided a method for enhancing a chroma of hair which comprises the steps of shampooing the hair with a water-based shampoo containing (A) 5 to 20% by weight of an anionic surfactant, (B) 0.1 to 5% by weight of a water-insoluble modified silicone containing at least one of an amino group and a quaternary ammonium group in a molecule thereof, and (C) a water-soluble salt in an amount capable of allowing the component (B) to be present in a solubilized state; applying a water-based conditioner containing a higher alcohol having 12 to 28 carbon atoms and a cationic surfactant at a molar ratio of 1:1 to 10:1 to the shampooed hair; and rinsing the hair. The method is capable of allowing an inherent color of hair, a dull color of damaged hair or a color of hair dyed by coloring to look clearer or more vivid, or maintaining a clearness of the color of hair.

Method for enhancing chroma of hair

A hair sensor, which can suppress mixing of external noise to a minimal level when a sliding sound of hair is detected, amplified, and output as an audio output in order to estimate surface characteristics and the degree of hair damage, and which can be easily used, is provided. The hair sensor for detecting the sliding sound of the hair in order to estimate hair characteristics includes a sliding element capable of sliding on the hair and a housing which includes a microphone provided therein. The sliding element is erected on a diaphragm. The sliding element and the diaphragm are arranged to allow the sliding sound caused by the sliding element to be transmitted through the diaphragm to the microphone and to attenuate vibration transmitted from outside of the diaphragm to the microphone. The surface of the sliding element is preferably treated to have a roughened surface in order to improve slidability thereof during measurement and measurement accuracy.

Hair sensor

This invention relates a hair cosmetic composition, which comprises (A) glycine or alanine, (B) an &agr;-hydroxy acid, &bgr;-hydroxy acid, 1,2-dicarboxylic acid, 1,3-dicarboxylic acid or aromatic carboxylic acid, and (C) a cationic surfactant. The hair cosmetic composition is excellent in the effect of improving optical or mechanical properties of hair.

Hair cosmetic compositions containing glycine and alanine

This invention relates to a hair cleansing composition, which comprises (A) 0.01 to 20 wt. % of glycine or alanine, (B) 0.01 to 5 wt. % of an &agr;-hydroxy acid, &bgr;-hydroxy acid, 1,2-dicarboxylic acid, 1,3-dicarboxylic acid or aromatic carboxylic acid, and (C) 5 to 40 wt. % of an anionic surfactant selected from an alkylsulfuric acid salt, an alkylethersulfuric acid salt or an N-alkylamidoalkanolsulfuric acid ester salt. The hair cleansing composition is excellent in the effect of improving optical or mechanical properties of hair.
