A vehicle shroud can have an opening formed so as to extend in a substantially front-to-rear direction. A substantially horizontal portion of a front fender of the vehicle can be located frontward of the opening. The vehicle can be a motorcycle, for example.

A vehicle, such as a motorcycle, can include an engine and a head pipe provided ahead of the engine. Electrical equipment provided behind the head pipe and ahead of the engine can be partly exposed by a gap between a down frame and a radiator of the vehicle, enabling the electrical equipment to be cooled by airflow.

Structures of a supporting mechanism for a power source in a vehicle can include a seat portion and a fixing portion. The seat portion can be attached to a body of the vehicle. The fixing portion can extend from the seat portion. One or more stackable power sources can be accommodated within and secured by the fixing portion. The power source supporting mechanism can be easily mounted in available space in or on or otherwise associated with the vehicle, enabling the power source supporting mechanism to be readily adaptable to various different kinds of vehicles. The vehicles may be motorcycles, for example.

A vehicle shroud can include a front projection, a middle projection and a rear projection. In a side view of the vehicle shroud, the front projection can be approximately wedge-shaped, and the middle projection can extend downward.

A vehicle shroud can include a frontward portion, an intermediate portion, and a rearward portion. According to some embodiments, a motorcycle includes a vehicle body frame, an enginemounted on the vehicle body frame, a fuel tankdisposed above the engine, a radiatordisposed in front of the engine, and an intake deviceconnected to the engine. The intake devicehas an intake opening, and an intake passagewhich connects the intake opening in fluid communication with a front portion of the engine. The intake passageis disposed between the fuel tankand the radiatoras viewed from a side of the motorcycle.

A motorcycle includes a motorcycle body, which incorporates a frame. An engine is supported by the motorcycle body. The engine includes a cylinder block and a crank case. An exhaust pipe communicates with the engine and has a portion that extends along a side of the engine. A battery is located above an upper surface of the crank case of the engine and to the rear of the cylinder block. The portion exhaust pipe extending along the side of the engine is located to a side of the battery and a heat shield plate is positioned between the exhaust pipe and the battery.

A vehicle including a radiator with improved cooling efficiency is disclosed. The vehicle, such as a motorcycle, comprises an engine, a radiator() for cooling of the engine, and a baffle device() including an outer wall portion() extending toward an outer side() of the radiator() from the front, and an upper wall portion() extending toward an upper portion() of the radiator() from the front and arranged in a manner not to have any substantial gap between it and the upper portion() of the radiator().

A straddle-type vehicle that exactly detects temperature of air sucked into the engine while protecting an intake temperature sensor of a fuel injector from damage. A front fork supports a front wheel rotatably. An engine is arranged rearward of the front fork to produce a driving force. A Zeichen plate protects the intake temperature sensor. The intake temperature sensor is arranged forwardly of an upper rear end of the front fork, and the Zeichen plate is arranged forwardly of the intake temperature sensor.

A spring spacer is provided to improve the durability of a spring, which is made of Ti or the like and low in surface hardness, by preventing abrasion With the spring spacer placed between a first turn and a second turn of a Ti spring, the spring spacer prevents an end of the first turn from contacting the second turn. The spring spacer includes a contact preventive portion that is interposed between the first turn and the second turn of the Ti spring to prevent the end of the first turn from contacting with the second turn. A holding portion holds the contact preventive portion on the spring or the spring bearing surface. The spring spacer can be used in a variety of applications, including on vehicle suspension springs, engine valve spring, and similar lightweight springs.

A spring is disclosed having a selected number of total turns so that the directions of bending at ends of spring are different when the spring is contracted. In certain embodiments, the directions of bending for the ends are centered within a &#xb1;45&#xb0; span and are located 225&#xb0; from terminal ends of the spring.
