The electric suspension apparatus is mountable in a vehicle and includes: an electric actuator configured to perform a stroke operation in response to behavior by the vehicle; a motor configured to drive the electric actuator; a rotation angle sensor configured to detect an angle of rotation of the motor; and a controller configured to control the electric actuator, wherein the controller calculates a stroke amount for the electric actuator based on an amount of change in the rotation angle detected by the rotation angle sensor, and controls the electric actuator based on the calculated stroke amount.

Electric suspension apparatus and method for controlling electric suspension

An electric suspension apparatus includes a return prevention circuit and a discharge controller. The return prevention circuit is configured to operate in one of operation modes including a return prevention mode of preventing a current from flowing from power storage to a power supply and a return allowance mode of allowing a current to flow from the power storage to the power supply. The discharge controller is configured to determine whether an electric motor is in regenerative operation. In response to determining that the electric motor is in regenerative operation, the discharge controller is configured to set the return prevention circuit to operate in the return prevention mode. In response to determining that the electric motor is not in regenerative operation, the discharge controller is configured to set the return prevention circuit to operate in the return allowance mode.

Electric suspension apparatus and electric motor controller

A vehicle includes an electric actuator disposed outside a vehicle body, a batteryand a boosting circuit which supply a high voltage to the electric actuator, and an electric suspension control ECU which controls the boosting circuit and the electric actuator, and in a case where a running speed is equal to or less than a first speed, the electric suspension control ECU limits the supply of the high voltage to the electric actuator.

Vehicle

A vehicle includes an acceleration sensor detecting collision, an electric actuator disposed outside a vehicle body, a battery and a boosting circuit supplying a high voltage to the electric actuator, and an electric suspension control ECU controlling the boosting circuit and the electric actuator, and in a case where the acceleration sensor detects the collision, the electric suspension control ECU limits the supply of the high voltage to the electric actuator.

A vehicle includes a collision determination ECU determining whether a possibility of collision is present, based on a detection result of a detection sensor detecting outside of the vehicle, a motor, a boosting circuit and a battery supplying a high voltage to the motor, and an electric suspension control ECU controlling the boosting circuit and the motor, and in a case where the collision determination ECU determines that the possibility of collision is present, the electric suspension control ECU limits the supply of the high voltage to the motor.

An electric suspension control, in a vehicle including an electric suspension apparatus driven with a motor, short-circuits the motor and limits a vehicle speed to a predetermined speed or less, in a case where an abnormality occurs in the electric suspension apparatus.

Vehicle control device

An electric suspension apparatus includes an electric actuator mounted in a vehicle, the electric actuator being driven with a motor, a voltage determination unit determining whether an electromotive force generated by the motor is equal to or more than a predetermined voltage in a state where regenerative power is generated in the motor, and an instruction unit short-circuiting the motor in a case where the voltage determination unit determines that the electromotive force generated by the motor is equal to or more than the predetermined voltage.

A vehicle includes a high voltage component such as an electric actuator, an electric suspension control ECU, a battery, a signal line which transmits, to the electric suspension control ECU, a detection signal of a sensor disposed in the electric actuator, a high voltage line which supplies a high voltage from the battery to the electric actuator, and a fixing member which fixes the signal line and the high voltage line to a vehicle body, a length of the signal line from the fixing member to the electric actuator is shorter than a length of the high voltage line from the fixing member to the electric actuator, and the electric suspension control ECU suppresses the supply of the high voltage to the electric actuator, in a case where abnormality occurs in the signal line.

Included are an electromagnetic actuator which includes an electric motor configured to generate drive forces for a damping operation and a telescopic operation; an information acquirer which acquires a stroke velocity of the electromagnetic actuator; a drive force arithmetic part which includes a damping force calculator configured to calculate a target damping force and a telescopic force calculator configured to calculate a target telescopic force, and which obtains a target drive force based on the target damping force and the target telescopic force; and a drive controller which controls drive of the electric motor using the target drive force. The drive force arithmetic part includes an adjuster which performs an adjustment to reduce a telescopic control amount for the target telescopic force based on the stroke velocity acquired by the information acquirer.

Electrically powered suspension system including an electromagnetic actuator, information acquirer, and drive force arithmetic part

Included are an electromagnetic actuator which generates drive forces for a damping operation and a telescopic operation; an information acquirer which acquires information about the drive forces of, and control mode selection information about, the electromagnetic actuator; a drive force arithmetic part which sets a predetermined control mode based on the control mode selection information about the electromagnetic actuator, and sets a target damping force and a target telescopic force of the electromagnetic actuator based on setting information about the control mode; and a drive controller which controls drive of the electromagnetic actuator using a target drive force based on the target damping and telescopic forces set by the drive force arithmetic part. The drive force arithmetic part performs an operation of switching a setting of the predetermined control mode from one to another while a driving force of the electromagnetic actuator is within a predetermined force range.

Electrically powered suspension system

Included are an electromagnetic actuator which generates a drive force for damping vibration of a vehicle body; an information acquirer which acquires time-series information about a stroke position of, and information about a stroke velocity of, the electromagnetic actuator, as well as information about reverse of a stroke direction and information about a stroke amount after the reverse; a damping force calculator which calculates a target damping force based on the information about the stroke velocity; and a drive controller which controls drive of the electromagnetic actuator using a target drive force based on the target damping force calculated by the damping force calculator. The damping force calculator corrects the target drive force based on the information about the stroke amount after the reverse acquired by the information acquirer.

An electrically powered suspension system includes: an electromagnetic actuator; an information acquisition unit configured to acquire time-series information related to stroke position of the electromagnetic actuator, information on stroke velocity, and an amount of change in stroke of the electromagnetic actuator and information on a stroke direction based on the time-series information; a damping force calculation unit configured to calculate target damping force based on the information on the stroke velocity; and a drive control unit configured to control driving of the electromagnetic actuator using target driving force obtained based on the target damping force. The damping force calculation unit calculates equivalent friction compensation force based on the amount of change in the stroke and the information on the stroke direction, and corrects the target damping force based on the calculated equivalent friction compensation force. The equivalent friction compensation force has elastic force component and dynamic friction force component.

An electrically powered suspension systemachieves vibration control of a vehicle without disturbing a vehicle behavior and impairing riding comfort even if an electric motorof an electromagnetic actuatorgenerates excessive heat, wherein the electromagnetic actuatorincludes the electric motorgenerating a driving force for vibration damping and extension/contraction; a target damping force setting partsetting a target damping force; a target extension/contraction setting partsetting a target extension/contraction force; and a drive controllerperforming the drive control of the electric motorusing a drive force based on the target damping force and target extension/contraction force by limiting the motor current not to exceed a current threshold that is an addition of a damping current threshold and extension/contraction current threshold, which thresholds are separately configured considering a priority of riding comfort and steering stability.

An electrically powered suspension system includes: an electromagnetic actuator configured to generate a driving force related to vibration damping of the vehicle; an information acquisition unit configured to acquire information on a stroke velocity of the electromagnetic actuator; a target damping force calculation unit configured to calculate a target damping force based on the stroke velocity; a drive control unit configured to control driving of the electromagnetic actuator based on the target damping force; and a filter processing unit configured to perform a filtering process by applying a predetermined filtering characteristic to the stroke velocity. The filter processing unit has a plurality of filtering characteristics set in a second frequency region, which has a frequency higher than that of a first frequency region. The filter processing unit selectively applies, among the plurality of filtering characteristics, one filtering characteristic that is based on the stroke velocity to the stroke velocity.

An electrically powered suspension system includes: an electromagnetic actuator generating a driving force for vibration damping of the vehicle; an information acquisition part acquiring information on a stroke velocity of the electromagnetic actuator; a damping force calculator calculating a target damping force of the electromagnetic actuator, based on the information on the stroke velocity acquired by the information acquisition part; and a drive controller based on the target damping force calculated. The damping force calculator performs frequency-shaping of the stroke velocity for suppressing a low-frequency component of the stroke velocity, calculates an adjusted damping force based on the information on the stroke velocity after the frequency-shaping, and adjusts the target damping force using the adjusted damping force calculated. The suspension system appropriately suppresses vibration near a system resonance point while keeping excellent ride quality of the vehicle.
