A document cover closer for preventing an accident of pinching finger(s), as well as office equipment using the same, comprising: an attaching part attached to the main body side of office equipment having a document cover; a supporting part rotatably and pivotally supported on the attaching part via a first hinge shaft; and a lift part attached to the document cover, wherein it overlaps the supporting part and is pivotally supported on the supporting part via a second hinge shaft to be rotatable in a direction contrary to that of the supporting part. A finger pinching preventing cover, wherein an upper end portion of the finger pinching preventing cover is rotatably coupled to the lift part, while its lower end portion is slidably engaged with rail portions provided on both side portions of the attaching part, is also provided.

Document cover closer and office equipment having the same

A document cover closer provided with a fire spread preventing cover capable of almost entirely covering internal features of the document cover closer, in order to prevent exposure of the internal features to flare in case of an ignition at peripheral electrical equipment, as well as office equipment using such a document cover closer. The document cover closer comprises a fire spread preventing cover capable of almost entirely covering internal features with their parts coated with oil being exposed and of almost securely preventing a contamination of an end of a document placed on a document platen by lubricant oil or rust-preventive oil. The document cover closer comprises an attaching part attached to the main body side of office equipment having a document cover; a supporting part rotatably and pivotally supported on the attaching part via a first hinge shaft; and a lift part attached to the document cover.

The attaching part is attached to a main body. A supporting part includes a back plate and two side plates. The side plates of the supporting part are rotatably coupled via a hinge shaft to the side plates of the attaching part. A lift part includes a back plate and two side plates. The side plates of the lift part are pivotally attached via a coupling shaft to the free end side of the side plates of the supporting member. An actuating part is provided on the pivotally attaching portion of the lift part so as to rotate about the coupling shaft when the lift part rotates.

To provide the original cover closer which can control a rotation torque accompanied with an opening and closing operation of in a simple structure, as compared to the conventional original cover closer, solution is made in that the original cover closer comprises an attaching part attached to the main body side; a supporting part, wherein its side plates are rotatably attached to the both side plates of the attaching plate via a hinge shaft, as well as the original cover is attached to the supporting part; a pressure receiving part provided between the both side plates of the attaching part; a cam slider slidably provided inside the supporting part by making its cam portion abut against the pressure receiving part; an elastic module resiliently provided between the cam slider and a free end side of said supporting part, so as to bring the cam slider into press contact with the pressure receiving part and to rotatably urge the supporting part in an opening direction of an original cover; and a brake module provided between the supporting part and the cam slider, and that the brake module consists of a plurality of friction protruding ridge portions provided on an inner wall surface of the supporting part toward the cam slider, and at least a gently-sloping upward inclined portion gradually climbing from the cam slider side is provided on each of the friction protruding ridge portions.

An apparatus and method for inserting optical fibers into a spacer having spiral grooves to produce a spacer type optical fiber cable wherein a torsional force detecting device is formed integrally with the optical fiber gathering device for inserting optical fibers into the spiral grooves. The torsional force exerted on the device by the spacer is detected by a tension/compression measuring device and the axial speed of the spacer is controlled in response to the measured torsional force so as to reduce the torsional force to zero.
