A wireless communication system includes one or more base stations able to divide resources between multiple network operators sharing the base station. A shared base station is configured to monitor a contribution to the load on the base station associated with network operators sharing the base station resources and to provide the determined contribution to the load to one or more other base stations for use in load balancing between the base stations.

Network sharing

A communication system is described in which an LTE base station and network are shared by two or more CDMA operators. Mobility parameters for the different CDMA operators are available and selection between the parameters is performed by the LTE base station, a mobile telephone connected to the LTE base station or a network node, such as an O&M node. The selection is performed based on information relating to subscription information for the mobile telephone.

Communication system

A first base station for use in a communications network, the first base station having a first cell operating range, comprising: means for obtaining data relating to at least one characteristic of a signal transmitted by a second base station having a second cell operating range which is different from and overlaps with the first cell operating range of the first base station; means for determining a cell selection bias value for the first or second base station using the obtained data; and means for transmitting the determined cell selection bias value to a user device within the first cell operating range of the first base station.

The present invention provides a radio communication control device, a radio communication control system, a radio communication control method, a radio communication control program and a recording medium, which control radio resource appropriately when an interference notification signal is received. The radio communication control device according to the present invention, which controls allocation of radio resource for use by a mobile communication terminal in a radio communication system, comprises: radio means for monitoring a communication status with the mobile communication terminal and detecting interference relating to first frequency information; transceiving means for transmitting a first interference notification signal containing the first frequency information and receiving a second interference notification signal containing second frequency information; and a control means for restricting the radio resource in a case when the second interference notification signal is being received, wherein the control means does not restrict the radio resource in a case when the first frequency information and the second frequency information have a predetermined relation.

By separating a function responsible for a control plane and a function responsible for a user plane into physically independent devices, a radio access network system, in which expandability and flexibility of a network is enhanced, is obtained. In the radio access network (RAN) system, the RAN is so designed that a server responsible for the control plane (CPS) and a server responsible for the user plane (UPS) are physically separated from each other. In response to an external request, a logical connection is set between the CPS and the UPS. For identification of the logical connection, mapping between a mobile unit or a radio bearer and the logical connection is managed using a logical connection ID. Thus, the CPS and UPS can independently be added or removed in a system configuration, thus enhancing the scalability of a mobile communication system.
