An electric power tool disclosed herein may include a motor; a power transmission mechanism connected to the motor; a housing that houses the motor and the power transmission mechanism; a tip tool holder connected to the power transmission mechanism; a cover covering the tip tool holder partially; a first locking mechanism configured to switch between a first locking state and a first unlocked state; and a second locking mechanism configured to switch between a second locking state and a second unlocked state. In the electric power tool, the cover may become detachable from the housing when the user performs the second unlocking operation on the second locking mechanism and the first unlocking operation on the first locking mechanism.

Electric power tool

A hand-held tool, such as a disc grinder, is used to perform work at a high work site, a countermeasure is taken to prevent the hand-held tool from falling by using a suspension tool, such as a tether strap. If a coupling part that couples the suspension tool to the hand-held tool is damaged, this fact is notified to a user. Thereby, an original function of the suspension tool can be reliably performed. If a large impact is applied to a coupling member via a suspension tool, the coupling member is displaced to a second position, due to the deformation of a first position retaining member. A conductive portion disengages from contacts to cause a power circuit to be shut off, thereby prohibiting a main body part from being activated.

Hand-held tool

A power tool () includes an electric motor () as a drive source and a start switch () that starts the electric motor () and is lockable in an ON position in a lock-ON state. An electromagnetic actuator () pushes out or pulls in an actuation pin () with respect to a body of the electromagnetic actuator () in response to cutting off of a supply of electrical current to the power tool (). The pushed-out or pulled-in actuation pin, directly or indirectly, disengages the start switch () from the lock-ON state and/or prevents the start switch () from being shifted into the lock-ON state.

Power tool

A grinder includes a motor, a housing, a spindle and a cover. The spindle protrudes downward from the housing, is driven by the motor, and thereby rotates. The cover is provided on the spindle in the circumferential direction and at least partially covers a tool accessory, which is mounted on the spindle. The cover is configured such that at least one part deforms and/or is composed of an elastic material.

Grinder, cover, and lock nut

A polisher may include a polishing pad, a motor, a transmission device, and a mode selection device. The transmission device can transmit a rotational drive force of the motor to the polishing pad in a plurality of different modes with respect to a motion of the polishing pad. The mode selection device may be used for selecting a desired motion mode of the output member. Additionally, a motor and handle housing with an accompanying power cord may be constructed to aid in ease of manipulation of the polisher by the user with minimal interference.

Polishers

A housing for a power tool includes a plurality of housing segments assembled together to form the housing. A gap is produced between mating surfaces of at least two housing segments positioned adjacent to each other. A capillary action preventing device disposed at the gap and constructed to interrupt a path of flow of a liquid caused by a capillary action from the inside to the outside of the housing along the gap.
