A vehicle includes an interface unit and a preventive safety device. The preventive safety device includes a performance evaluation unit that performs evaluation of driving performance of the autonomous driving kit, and a suppression unit that suppresses a cancel signal output from the autonomous driving kit to cancel the preventive safety function based on the evaluation of the driving performance.

The vehicle-travel control device estimates an evaluation level of the automated-driving management device from the standpoint of the vehicle-travel control device, when the vehicle is approaching a caution point indicating a point where caution needs to be exercised in driving, determines whether the vehicle-travel control device has a history of passing through the caution point with the vehicle-travel control device having received an execution prohibition instruction to prohibit execution of the travel assistance control, and when the vehicle-travel control device has received the execution prohibition instruction, and it is determined that the vehicle-travel control device does not have a history of passing through the caution point, changes an execution mode of the travel assistance control based on the evaluation level such that the travel assistance control is more likely to be executed.

A gas sensor includes a sensor element, a housing, a contact terminal, a second insulator, a lead wire, a sealing member, an inner periphery side cover and an outer periphery side cover. The inner periphery side cover is mounted on an outer periphery at a position on a base end side in an axial direction of the housing. A vehicle control system includes an automatic driving control device that generates a target trajectory used for automatic driving, and a vehicle travel control device that executes vehicle travel control such that a vehicle follows the target trajectory. The vehicle travel control device determines whether an operating condition of travel support control for reducing a risk when the vehicle travels is satisfied based on driving environment information, acquired from a plurality of sensor devices, and executes the travel support control in a case where the operating condition is satisfied. The vehicle travel control device generates risk information based on the driving environment information, and transmits the risk information to the automatic driving control device before the operating condition is satisfied. The automatic driving control device generates or corrects the target trajectory based on the received risk information.

A driving assist system executes driving assist control for avoiding a collision with a target ahead of a vehicle. The driving assist control operates when the target exists within an assist area. A crossing target is the target crossing a roadway area ahead of the vehicle from a first side toward a second side. The assist area for the crossing target is divided into a plurality of divided assist areas including a first assist area located on the first side as viewed from the vehicle and a second assist area located on the second side as viewed from the vehicle. When the crossing target exists in the second assist area, the driving assist system decreases a control strength of the driving assist control as compared with a case where the crossing target exists in the first assist area.

Driving assist system

A first vehicle includes a communication device configured to send and receive V2V information, a memory configured to store the V2V information, and a processor configured to perform abnormal traveling determination processing. A second vehicle includes a communication device configured to send and receive the V2V information, a memory configured to store the V2V information and driving environment information on the second vehicle, and a processor configured to perform objective determination processing. In the objective determination processing, whether the first vehicle is traveling abnormally is objectively determined based on the driving environment information on the second vehicle. The determination result of the objective determination processing is sent to the first vehicle. A driving assist system executes driving assist control for avoiding a collision with a target ahead of a vehicle. The driving assist control operates when the target exists within an assist area. First and second roadway boundaries of a roadway area are located on first and second sides as viewed from the vehicle, respectively. A crossing target is the target crossing the roadway area ahead of the vehicle from the first side toward the second side. The assist area for the crossing target is an area between an assist start boundary located on the first side as viewed from the vehicle and an assist end boundary located on the second side as viewed from the vehicle. The driving assist system sets the assist end boundary at a position between the vehicle and the second roadway boundary of the roadway area.

A traffic light management system that manages display of traffic lights includes a communication device, a control device, and a map database. The control device performs emergency control of the display when abnormal traveling information indicating the information on an abnormally traveling vehicle is included in the information received from a communication vehicle. In the emergency control, the control device predicts a future trajectory of the abnormally traveling vehicle based on the abnormal traveling information. Next, the control device generates the emergency control signal for temporarily prohibiting passage at an intersection and a crosswalk on a road along the future trajectory based on the map information and the future trajectory. After that, the control device sends the emergency control signal to controlled traffic lights. The controlled traffic lights are each a traffic light at the intersection and the crosswalk on a road along the future trajectory.

A deterioration determination apparatus is usable with an ammonia sensor that includes an ammonia element portion that includes, a solid electrolyte, an ammonia electrode, and a reference electrode. The deterioration determining apparatus compares a first evaluation value and a second evaluation value, and determines whether deterioration has occurred in the ammonia element portion of the ammonia sensor at an evaluation time or subsequent to the evaluation time. The first evaluation value is based on a first sensor current obtained when a DC voltage is applied between the ammonia electrode and the reference electrode of the ammonia element portion at an initial time that is during an initial use period of the ammonia sensor. The second evaluation value is based on a second sensor current obtained when the DC voltage is applied between the ammonia electrode and the reference electrode subsequent to the initial period of use of the ammonia sensor.

Deterioration determination apparatus for ammonia sensor

A driving assist device for a vehicle sets a a roadway area ahead of the vehicle, detects an avoidance target existing ahead of the vehicle, and executes collision avoidance control that avoids a collision between the vehicle and the avoidance target. The collision avoidance control is more likely to be executed when the avoidance target is within the roadway area than when the avoidance target is outside the roadway area. The driving assist device detects a roadway end object and a first lane marking of a first lane in which the vehicle exists. An imaginary position is a position apart from the detected position of the roadway end object toward the first lane by a constant distance. The driving assist device sets the imaginary position or the detected position of the the first lane marking as a boundary position of the roadway area based on a predetermined condition.

Driving assist device

Disclosed is an ammonia sensor element having a measured gas chamber, a reference gas chamber and a solid electrolyte body arranged therebetween. The solid electrolyte body has a first main surface facing the measured gas chamber and a second main surface facing the reference gas chamber. A detection electrode is formed on the first main surface. A reference electrode is formed on the second main surface. The solid electrolyte body contains a first proton conducting solid electrolyte. The detection electrode contains a second proton conducting solid electrolyte. The second proton conducting solid electrolyte has an acid strength greater than that of the first proton conducting solid electrolyte.

Ammonia sensor element

A gas sensor element with suppressed response deterioration even when poisoned with S when fuel or exhaust gas contains ethanol and the ethanol content is high. The element includes a detection portion, which includes a solid electrolyte layer having a pair of electrodes on opposite sides thereof, a shielding layer defining a measurement target gas space with a porous diffusive resistance layer, and a reference gas space protective layer; a heat-generating portion stacked on the detection portion; and a porous protective layer surrounding the detection portion and heat-generating portion. The porous protective layer includes a first porous protective layer surrounding at least the porous diffusive resistance layer, and a second porous protective layer surrounding the first porous protective layer, the detection portion and the heat-generating portion. The first porous protective layer contains none of La, Ca, or Mg, while the second porous protective layer contains at least one of them.
