There is provided a light-emitting device including a wireless communication unit that performs wireless communication with another device, a light-emitting unit that emits light, and a control unit that performs control by switching between a mode in which the light emission of the light-emitting unit is controlled in accordance with a timing at which a signal is received by the wireless communication unit and a mode in which the light emission of the light-emitting unit is controlled in accordance with an internal timer based on a light emission timing included in a signal received from the other device by the wireless communication unit.

A vehicle light including at least one LED light source unit disposed within a light chamber defined by a lens cover and a housing. The vehicle light can further include, within the light chamber: a heat sink and a plurality of heat dissipation fins; a back plate separated away from the heat sink main body and constituting a part of a duct together with the heat sink, the duct containing the plurality of heat dissipation fins between the heat sink main body and the back plate; an axial fan motor configured to generate an air flow passing through the duct; and a cover member, the housing having an opening used for replacing the axial fan motor with another one, the cover member being detatchably attached to the housing so as to cover the opening of the housing.

A vehicle lighting assembly is provided which uses a light guiding lens without a dedicated light source. The vehicle lighting assembly can include: a light source configured to emit light rays used at least for forming a target light distribution; a light guiding member made of a transparent or semi-transparent material, the light guiding member including a plurality of individual reflective light emitting surfaces configured to be illuminated with light rays entering the light guiding member from the light source, the light guiding member including another reflective light emitting surface configured to be illuminated with parallel light rays entering the light guiding member; and a reflector having a first reflective surface configured to reflect light rays emitted from the light source for use in forming the target light distribution and a second reflective surface configured to adjust a leak portion of light rays that are not for use in forming the target light distribution so that the leak portion of light rays are made parallel with each other.

Vehicle lighting assembly and light guiding lens for use in vehicle lighting assembly

A vehicle light can include a plurality of light projection units each having a replaceable LED lamp, a reflector unit, a projection lens, and a shielding member. A housing can be provided that includes a lens and a rear side part, with the housing configured to accommodate the light projection units. The rear side part can include a mounting opening therethrough with a base plate configured to be hermetically attached to the housing through the mounting opening of the rear side part. The replaceable LED lamp can be attached to the base plate, and an elastic connecting member can be configured to hermetically connect the housing and the base plate so that the LED lamps can be individually replaced. Since the LED lamps can be individually replaced, untrained persons can carry out the replacement operation. Furthermore, it is possible to reduce the replacement cost and time as well as improve the rate of operation of a vehicle.

Vehicle light using LED light source

Multiple light emitting device modules can be configured to illuminate in multiple different directions, while avoiding deterioration of radiation efficiency by use of fins. In a lighting fixture, multiple light emitting device modules can each have fins for radiating heat generated by the light emitting device. The multiple light emitting device modules can be arranged in such a manner that a main optical axis line of one light emitting device module and main optical axis lines of any other light emitting device modules form an angle larger than zero degrees, or are in a skewed position, and the fins can be arranged in such a manner that all the fins are parallel with respect to a vertical plane and roots of the fins are positioned at the same level as or lower than tips of the fins.

Lighting fixture

Light emitting device modules illuminate at a wide angle in the longitudinal direction of a lighting fixture. The lighting fixture can be provided with a light emitting device module having a light emitting device, an installation member for mounting multiple light emitting device modules thereon, and a support for supporting the installation member. The installation membercan be bent in multiple stages so that light beams from the multiple light emitting device modules mounted on the installation member are pointed to multiple different directions. The installation member can be bent in multiple stages so that an angle between the main optical axis line of the light emitting device module mounted on the forefront part of the installation member and a horizontal plane is smaller than the angle between the main optical axis line of the light emitting device module mounted on the root part of the installation member and the horizontal plane.

An ordinary pattern and a liquid repellent pattern are formed on the base paper. The base paper is then impregnated with a thermosetting resin having a characteristic of being repelled by the liquid repellent pattern. A covering layer of the impregnated resin is formed by the thermosetting resin which has not been impregnated into the base paper and remains on the surface of the base paper. As the thermosetting resin for impregnation is repelled by the liquid repellent pattern, the covering layer of the impregnated resin is not formed on the liquid repellent pattern. The covering layer of the impregnated resin is formed so as to be thicker than the liquid repellent pattern. Due to this, a recessed portion is created at the portion where the liquid repellent pattern is formed.

A lighting fixture for a vehicle where a fit part of a waterproof cover and the mounting part of a reflector are covered with a removal preventing piece in the waterproof construction of the reflector so mounted as to be tilt freely in the lamp housing. The removal preventing piece is provided around the peripheral part of a socket cover for a lamp socket of the used lamp and the number of parts is all the smaller or the use of the flange part on the lamp socket as a removal preventing piece makes it possible to provide a simpler and smaller lighting fixture for a vehicle.

Waterproof cover for lighting fixture for vehicle

A lighting device for a vehicle includes a mechanism for preliminarily fitting a lens to an extension before it is firmly fitted to a housing of the lighting device. To assure that a lens fitting operation is easily achieved at a reduced cost, a fitting hole is formed through an auxiliary foot portion extending from a housing fitting foot portion of the lens. A boss in the form of a tapered pin-shaped projection extends from the extension at the position corresponding to that of the fitting hole. In addition, a flange portion is formed at the upper end of the extension. The lens fitting operation is performed by inserting the boss into the fitting hole while the flange portion is placed on the upper surface of one of the side walls defining a lens receiving groove formed at the upper end of the housing of the lighting device. In the case that there is no possibility that water invades in the interior of a lighting chamber of the lighting device, the fitting hole may be formed directly through the housing fitting foot portion.

Mechanism for fitting lens to an extension

A lighting device for a vehicle includes a housing, an inner lens molded of a transparent colored material that is fitted to an opening portion of the housing; and an outer lens molded of a transparent colorless material; and a left-hand inner wall surface of the housing is dimensioned to have a length different from that of a right-hand inner wall surface of the housing. To prevent the presence of a colorless part of the inner wall surface from appearing to have a longer length, the foregoing colorless part of the inner wall surface is covered with an extension portion of the inner lens which comes in close contact with the inner wall surface. To improve the appearance of the lighting device, all surfaces associated with the inner lens, such as a part of the inner wall surface having a greater dimension a lower inner wall surface; and an upper inner wall surface are coated with the surface material that corresponds with a material coated on the extension portion of the inner lens.
