A medical imaging system includes a first imaging element that receives NIR light and outputs a first image signal, a second imaging element that receives normal light and outputs a second image signal, a third imaging element that receives at least normal light and outputs a third image signal, and a signal processing unit that performs depth-of-field extension processing to generate an extended-depth-of-field image using at least two of the first image signal, the second image signal, and the third image signal. The optical path length from a mount surface to the first imaging element is set to be longer than the optical path length from the mount surface to the second imaging element, and to be shorter than the optical path length from the mount surface to the third imaging element. The present technology can be applied to, e.g., a medical imaging system capable of capturing an EDOF image.

A rigid-scope optical system includes: an image-formation optical system that causes an image in each of wavelength bands to be formed in a predetermined imaging device, the wavelength bands including a fluorescence wavelength band and a visible light wavelength band; and a color-separation-prism optical system having a dichroic film that separates an optical path of light to be imaged into an optical path of the visible light wavelength band and an optical path of the fluorescence wavelength band, in which the image-formation optical system causes the respective images to be formed in a fluorescence imaging device and a visible light imaging device, the fluorescence imaging device and the visible light imaging device being disposed to cause an amount of misalignment to correspond to a difference between an optical path length of fluorescence and an optical path length of visible light.

Scope optical system, imaging apparatus, and endoscope system

An imaging system includes a light source emitting light at least a first excitation wavelength band to excite a first fluorescence material emitting a first fluorescence in a near-infrared wavelength band and light a second excitation wavelength band to excite a second fluorescence material emitting a second fluorescence in a visible wavelength band, a first image sensor receiving light including the first fluorescence and outputs a first imaging signal, a second image sensor receives light including the second fluorescence and output a second imaging signal, an optical element that separates the first fluorescence into a first optical branch and the second fluorescence into a second optical branch; and a pass filter in the first optical branch transmitting light having a near-infrared wavelength band and block light having a wavelength equal to or less than a predetermined wavelength belonging the visible wavelength band.

Imaging system

The purpose is to provide a higher-quality three-dimensional image with a downsized optical system that does not need interpupillary adjustment. An ocular optical system according to the present disclosure includes, on an optical path viewed from an observer side, at least: a first polarization member; a mirror; a second polarization member; and an image display device in this order. A polarized state in the first polarization member and a polarized state in the second polarization member are orthogonal to each other.

Ocular optical system, medical viewer, and medical viewer system

The present disclosure relates to a medical imaging system, a medical imaging device, and an operation method that make it possible to capture a medical image in which an operative field can be better observed. The medical imaging system includes: a first imaging element that receives light through a color filter and outputs a first image signal; a second imaging element that receives light not through a color filter and outputs a second image signal; an optical splitting system that splits incident light incident from a mount surface into light to be incident on the first imaging element and light to be incident on the second imaging element; and a signal processing unit that performs depth-of-field extension processing to generate an extended-depth-of-field image obtained by extending a depth of field using the first image signal and the second image signal. Then, the optical path length from the mount surface to the first imaging element is set to be shorter than the optical path length from the mount surface to the second imaging element. The present technology can be applied to, e.g., a medical imaging system capable of capturing an EDOF image.

A medical observation system for observing a biological object includes a medical light source apparatus for illuminating the biological object. The medical light source apparatus includes a first, second and third laser light sources that emit respective first, second, and third laser light beams. First and second laser light beams have different wavelength bands. The medical light source apparatus also includes an optical assembly including a reflecting surface disposed to reflect the first laser light beam, cause the second laser light beam to be transmitted therethrough, and guide the first laser light beam and the second laser light beam in a same direction. The medical light source apparatus also includes a reflection mirror having a reflecting surface that is not parallel with the reflecting surface of the optical assembly. The system includes a medical observation device including a detector for detecting a light received from the biological object.

Microscope system and medical light source apparatus

A medical imaging device in accordance with the present application includes a color separation prism, a fluorescence image sensor, a visible light image sensor, and a bandpass filter. The color separation prism splits light into first light belonging to a visible light wavelength band and second light belonging to a fluorescence wavelength band. The fluorescence image sensor is provided at an output side of the color separation prism and is configured to image at least part of the second light belonging to the fluorescence wavelength band separated by the dichroic film. The visible light image sensor is provided at the output side of the color separation prism and is configured to image at least part of the first light belonging to the visible light wavelength band separated by the dichroic film. The bandpass filter is disposed between the color separation prism and the fluorescence image sensor.

Provided is an imaging system including a light source which emits light in at least a portion of a wavelength band of an excitation wavelength with respect to each of a first fluorescent material emitting fluorescence belonging to a near-infrared wavelength band and a second fluorescent material emitting fluorescence belonging to a visible wavelength band, a first image sensor that detects a first fluorescent image of the target in the near-infrared wavelength band, a second image sensor that detects the second fluorescent image of the target in the visible wavelength band, and optics to direct the first fluorescent image to the first image sensor and the second fluorescent image to the second image sensor. Provided is a medical imaging device comprising: a color separation prism that has a dichroic film configured to split light into first light belonging to a visible light wavelength band and second light belonging to a fluorescence wavelength band; a fluorescence image sensor that is provided at an output side of the color separation prism and that is configured to image at least part of the second light belonging to the fluorescence wavelength band separated by the dichroic film; a visible light image sensor that is provided at the output side of the color separation prism and that is configured to image at least part of the first light belonging to the visible light wavelength band separated by the dichroic film; and a bandpass filter that is disposed between the color separation prism and the fluorescence image sensor, wherein the fluorescence image sensor and the visible light image sensor are arranged such that an optical path difference between an optical path length of a fluorescence optical path for the second light imaged on the fluorescence image sensor via the color separation prism and an optical path length of a visible light optical path for the first light imaged on the visible light image sensor via the color separation prism corresponds to an amount of a shift between a fluorescence imaging position and a visible light imaging position, the shift being generated by an imaging lens positioned at an input side of the color separation prism, and wherein the fluorescence imaging position is an imaging position of filtered second light, which results from passing the second light through the bandpass tiller, such that tlic amoiuu of shifl is based on the filtered second light.
